Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Conte would do well there.
As much as I dislike Conte, I think he'd win La Liga next season with that RM squad, especially if he convinces Bale to stay.

Conversely, I think they will crash out in the R16 in CL next season as well. That horseshoe Zidane had lodged up his ass is heading out the door, so their CL luck will run out. Great team, but man have they got some breaks in the CL lately.

Pochettino wasn't loyal to Southampton as soon as we came calling for him, so why would anyone expect him to be loyal to us? Money talks at the end of the day.

Really? If we were to lose Poch for whatever reason, he'd be right near the top of my list.

Southampton were constantly selling their best players, the guy who brought him in left unexpectedly in the January of that year. It’s entirely different.

We’re a CL team about to move into a 62K seater stadium

It's more than just money. I don't expect Poch to stay because he has Spurs in his blood for life, I expect him to stay because the Spurs project allows him to express his ideas and create his culture and he knows the Madrid viper pit well enough to know that wouldn't be the case there.

And to be completely honest, why are we so sure Madrid even want Poch? What interest do the three-time defending Champions League winners have in a guy who hasn't won any trophies, but has created the kind of winning culture they already have?

Fucking hell pal go do some googling, not what gets reported today about that, but what got reported at the time. Go listen to a Press Conference he gave whilst still their Manager. He made his position very, very clear, his loyalty was to Nicola Cortese and he said he would leave if he was fired (or not backed by the Board). The fact is he remained as manager when Cortese was fired (he stayed for the short term under the advice of Cortese). The whole clubs philosophy changed when the owner died, what followed was to abandon everything that got them up through the leagues into the Prem, look at them now as living proof.
