The only reason I'd read the drivel served up by the media after we win a trophy is to laugh at them. Nothing we ever do will be good enough and you have to at least respect their consistency. It is what it is and plastics make up 99% of their audience. Having ex players with their shitty hot takes is a lot of the problem.

Carraghghghgrr's faux outrage at BOTH ends of the spectrum is telling: screaming for a Spurs player to be banned for season for GIVING it, and Spurs player should be embarrassed for going down after RECEIVING one, is bias beyond just hypocrisy... It's pure double standards.

Out of interest, where on the scale does the outrage lie for spitting at a family through an open car window Jamie...?

Or was it fully deserved cos they were Spurs maybe??

Whether you like him or not, he's 100 percent right.

The media qué up to put the boot in. Every time there is shite decision that goes against us, there is an air of "Ah well, it's Spurs, move on".

They're just a bunch of hypocritical tossers.
 
It is what many of us have been saying on this thread for ages. Levy rarely talks to the media but when he does he does not help. I think they have a senior person for media contact but they clearly do not speak up enough. There is enough negativity within from fans without the media piling in.

He IS 100% spot on... But unfortunately, because of our shocking League position and appalling loss record, it all sounds like excuses, deflection, too little too late.

.I've said it before, and this only reaffirms my belief, whilst Ange is an AWFUL tactician and manager, he's a media darling when he's on form... He talks the talk, just can't walk the walk... So let's take that responsibility off HIS shoulders.

I think we should sack him as head coach, and reappoint him as "Media Man" ahead of whatever god awful cluster fuck of a media dept we have currently!

With a high degree of certainty I don't think it will be Bodo.

Much as Postecoglou deserves a bit of the stick he has received, this Amorim fella is getting off too fcuking lightly.

Look at how they described Villa as a, “heroic comeback”, with pictures of Villa players celebrating once they’d scored.

For us, it would be, “Tottenham crash out”… “too little, too late…”

You can bet your last pound that if say, Salah was the player on the receiving end of that, he'd have been screaming for a lengthy ban for Doucouré.
 
The media are embarrassing themselves.

Any reporter with any sense of what's right would understandably marvel at the comeback but call into question how that fcuking lot got themselves into the predicament in the first place.

It's shameful but as long as we lift the Europa who will care, other than the sucky sucky pundits
