Either way good news that he is stable , might be a while before he steps on the pitch again but things like this make you realise that football isn’t as important as we sometimes like to think!

Some of the damage to the car may thankfully be because they had to cut him out of it. You can see where they cut through the frame on the driver's side.
But this looks like a full frontal collision so he is VERY lucky to be alive.

Zipping around in the forest, especially in wet or icy conditions, is absolutely asking for it. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Awful for the guy but I'd expect so. He's 34 and relies on his speed and power. If he's hurt both legs as reported, that's a long recovery process.
Where he crashed is known for deer jumping out in the road so could even been that as well
