We just can't afford to be someone's on the job training as a DOF; not after the such a long spell of shit recruitment........ Perhaps after a few more stable years of Fab (w/no bans!) he may have been seen as a natural progression and mentored accordingly, but the timing's just all wrong.

It's almost painful how much this guy has the world at his feet. Happy for him though.
Strange really because at the end of the day.. seems the natural progression to appoint someone from within.
He's unearthed a few gems, VDV looks an absolute steal at the minute.
How much knowledge of a player that is down to one person though is up for debate.

Looked like a season-ending injury potentially, he could barely walk. Might well have torn it completely.

Absolutely no chance he’ll get back in a month. His reaction looks like it’s a grade 3 which I hope it’s not because that’s minimum 6 to 8 weeks or could even need surgery which is then it could be after Xmas!
He grabbed at it high, which is never good, but not right up at the bottom of the arse cheek, which is the worst.
Looked like a bad one, he couldn’t even stand up unassisted.

He's going to have to surely isn't he? At least for the wolves game. Just got to hope it's a couple of months and not a season ender. One thing is for sure if it was ever in any doubt it's clear we need to sign one if not two centre halves in Jan.
