It’s actually jarring to have a CB with this much pace. Decades of watching football and you just sort of naturally get the feeling when a ball is played in that has your backline in trouble. But now there’s Mickey a step and half ahead of striker. Not sure I’ll ever get used to it, but it’s best thing ever. Proper cheat code.
This fella is my favourite player in this side. Hes fast, hes big, hes committed, he's a goal threat at set pieces... and hes that young? The partner Romero needed, and *possibly* a better all round player. The way we play now, his pace is a massive massive thing for us - we will give the ball away, and there will be a ball over the top, but Micky puts the burners on and sorts it out with minimal fuss. Barely gives a foul away either! Gem.
