agree, its a shame that we only have a few kids that show some sort of promise.....the rest are utter fucking garbage. its a shame maddison got injured, but even if he wasnt, the squad is packed with utter crap. we need football people in badly or we are going to be in dark days for a long time.
This is seriously embarrassing. I'd be fine with simply benching VdV the rest of the season based on this. What hope do we have of winning if this arrogant prick thinks he's too good to listen to the manager, for the good of the team, for the good of the club?
For a supposedly 6'4" lad, he's among the absolute weakest defenders in the air I've ever seen. We really won't miss him when he is gone.

We don’t have a left back , he plays there for Holland , any chance he can play there and give the team some balance . That 8/2 formation yesterday was tough to watch .
What good are two goals a season from freak forward runs when you're getting absolutely done in your own box on a week-in, week-out basis?
The defence is embarrassing and he's relying on his speed to cover up his and others deficiencies , well if the defence was properly set up then his speed wouldn't be needed so if he wants to quietly jog on then so be it .

They owe us a balance for Kane? We probably owe them for Tel and Palinha when we sign him. They will probably offer Kim, who has been Bayern weak link. I wouldn't be surprised if they offer us Neuer and we snap him up

If we had Romero and Danso back I’d honestly completely drop him. People go after Romero but this blokes attitude is disgraceful. Thinks he’s at the level of Van Dijk and Romero but let’s be honest he’s no where close. Take away his pace he’s a bang average defender and that’s kind. Take the money and fuck him off in the summer

Nobody is slagging him off just for this video. This video just typifies VDV for the whole season, for me.

Interestingly, Ange mentioned his dad having a huge amount of influence on the overlap. Wonder if daddy is a distraction.
Personally I think he is probably the least of our problems and is probably fed up with the dross that he needs to play with each week. Lets be honest, him and Romero are probably our only above average players (as long as Madders and Kulu are out) and they are not good enough to handle everything on their own.

VdV is basically our best centre-back. He won the ball back early, pressed, and got stuck in. Not really his fault his manager chooses to play him in a three with Dragusin as the main centre-back, which was never going to work.
