Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I expect this is just Twitter rumour bollocks.

I like Rule the Roost but Jack does quite often regurgitate whatever crap is going around on Twitter...which is now again being regurgitated on Twitter.

It's bullshit. They arent Spurs fans spouting this shit.

Besides, the bloke is obviously low on confidence and struggling. He's pretty inexperienced at this level too.

He's one of the last I'd be worried about.

Whats the proof? Retaining a manager who paid £80m for Antony then sack him 3 months later aftet he spent another £170m on players who aren’t used by the incoming manager or the club agreeing £55m for Jamie Gittens and another £58m for Garnacho.

Yeah
Players know managers are short term. It's normal for them. I'm not sure why fans don't see it.
Nobody thought Amorim would last the season.
Fact is, United have a reputation that we're miles off.
They were willing to pay the money for the likes of Cunha, Mbuemo and Sesko. Fees. Wages. The lot.
We're too small time to cough up all of that on multiple players without all sorts of pathetic haggling. That's why players go to United over us. Even when we beat them.
That's why they recover from a bad season rather than get worse.
Same for Chelsea. they'll keep buying players and keep changing managers until they get it right. Not keep playing duds because they're too tight to cut their losses and sell them on.

My stance is that if you want to get rid of the bad eggs then there can be no sacred lambs.

Micky is also a far more prominent voice in said leadership group than Porro or Bentancur for example. It may sound rough but Micky, Romero and Vic are the guys that you cull to make an example for the rest. Just like Poch did when he took over.

Micky is obviously a very good player but if he's set on leaving and is a proper locker room negative then he needs to sold imo unless the new manager manages to completely win him over.
Yeah I agree with that. I do think that some posts on here under-estimate the potential / (likely even) Poch effect. Players will want to be part of that. But If VdV isn't sure, then cash in 100%.

More from Spurs defender Micky van de Ven on reports that a player had discussed leaving the club so did not care in their plight: "The other day when we read that one guy told the rest of the team that he doesn't care because he's leaving anyway. It's like how does this come out? It's just made up. And the fans will believe it. It's just frustrating for us guys.

"It brings so much more trouble as well, because fans are starting to believe this, but trust me, all the people involved on the pitch, the staff, the players, everyone, they care so much about the situation we're in right now, and we just want to turn things around.

"If there are some reports saying the guys don't care anymore, it's frustrating for our guys."

I ignored it at the time or tried to play it down... but I can't help remembering VDV refusing to press up against Woolwich in Tudor's first game. I know the manager played it down after but it was clear as day that he was demanding him to push up and VDV didn't. Tudor put this down to bad habits but the whole thing was disrespectful.

Hindsight probably shows us that VDV was actually out of order. He clearly thinks he's above the club now and thinks he knows better than everyone. Even that interview with Neville where VDV almost wanted to take all the credit for the Europa League final by saying he was the one who told the manager that they wanted to sit back more. Almost claiming he was managing the team. So does he now think he knows more than every manager? I don't really blame him for losing faith in Frank but you can't be ignoring your new manager on day 1.

VDV for me is a club legend. That goal line clearance in the Europa League final gives him that status for me. But it's such a shame that he's slowly turning into a really toxic presence at the club. For me it's no surprise that our best performance under Tudor came in the only game VDV was not available. Why? Because Tudor had 11 players on the pitch who trusted his tactics and gave 100% effort for the 90 mins. They stuck to a game plan even after a few set backs and grinded out a point. The team were united for the first time under Tudor.

VDV is twice the player Dragusin will ever be. He's better than him at almost every aspect of the game. But one is doing exactly what the coach is telling him and giving his all for this club, the other thinks he's too good for us and has allowed himself to check out. The crazy reality is we probably pick up more points by playing Dragusin over VDV at this moment unless his attitude changes.

I see VDV has put out a passionate statement today saying he's not switched off and calling it all nonsense. I'd love him to prove me wrong! But we need to see it on the pitch now Micky. Actions speak louder than words. Fight for this club!

In the video you're referencing Tudor wasn't even talking to VdV - Tudor has confirmed that himself and it's pretty clear he's not looking at Micky for the majority of the video if you watch closely.

VdV has been shit recently and shown a few moments of poor character (notably ignoring Frank) but the pile-on by fans has also swung too far with loads of misinformation, rumours and general shit being thrown his way.

I think in reality he's probably just suffering due to the pressure of the situation rather than being the arch villian people are starting to paint him as who thinks he's above the club. It's clear from his recent interview in Dutch that the crap from fans is getting to him and not helping matters at all.

Maybe he is being a bit of a dick - and he's certainly not handled the pressure well - but people are simply inventing stuff about the guy and acting like they know exactly how he feels and what he's saying in the dressing room when in reality none of us really know anything.

Fuck me, doesnt take much for our fans to turn on our players -

Players are humans, they are young men, and confidence is not the same as not giving a shit -

You want a player that oozes confidence no matter what - fine - say that - but enough of this shitting on players when they may be struggling and need a lift.

I'm sick of everyone treating these guys like fucking robots.

This.

There is zero evidence any of these players have "checked out" and the far more likely reason they are making mistakes and rash challenges is because they are trying too hard because they're feeling the pressure of the situation.

It was less than a year ago that Mickey and Romero were best on ground as they lifted our first trophy in 17 years and first European trophy in over 40 years. Romero signed a new deal this year committing himself to the club. Mickey hasn't signed yet but that's hardly surprising when a) he's still got a few years so it's not a club priority and b) we are an utter basket case of a club which is not his fault.

As you say - he's a young man not a fucking robot.

That grifting cunt and his podcast can fuck right off, and when he's fucked off he can fuck off some more. And when he reaches the end of the world he can fuck right off over the edge the grifting little toerag cunt.

and that goes for most of these grifting podcasting cunts who never seem to be season ticket holders and rarely if ever go to the fucking games.

I was surprised the hate for him went to such an all-time high. I don't really understand. Disrespectful to the manager? Think it was a misunderstanding and people read too much into his body-language. Checking out and stupid foul for a red? Think he's just too eager to put things right and made a grave mistake. Agent speaking to Barca for a move next season? Really? All these really don't warrant such hate IMHO.

The whole entire team has been shit this season, yet the hate for him and Romero has been particularly strong. We should shelf these emotions till the end of season because they are afterall still the best 2 CBs we have. As we acclimatise ourselves under a stronger leadership like Igor, instead of the wimp coward Frank, let's hope we can see them back to their best soon.

Wish for him to score again and hear his song sang out.

I hope Harrier Harrier is happy with himself after what VDV has said 🤡

more to the point, it was Chris Cowlin who filmed it. When he posted it he didn't add any of the "context" that Tudor was directing his comments to VdV or that anyone was ignoring him.
Cowling later posted something on social media saying it wasn't him that accused VdV of ignoring Tudor and he was just filming Tudor telling the players to push up.
