As much as I dislike Rangers (Celtic! Yay!) I can’t deny that this has been a great loan for the boy. He’s had to work his way into the team and he’s now being relied on to perform week in week out under the intense pressure of a 3-way title race where you have to win near enough every game.
It could really help build character, consistency and similar good stuff.

It seemed like a terrible loan when he barely made an appearance under Martin, but since then he’s gradually built up his game time and his importance to the team. The lad is now impacting every match and has become a part of the ‘spine’. Invaluable experience to bring to our squad next season.
Working and growing through those initial struggles to get where he is now is an even better result than him just cruising at this level all along.
Talents are born, footballers are made. Mikey has taken a big step along that path this season, and can still go further. He's in a proper title race.

For a young player to be this good in an old firm Derby is incredible. Very few players come up from England and stand out the way he is. He’s ready to come back to us. He plays like a man now. Reminds me so much much of Villa Grealish but better feet.
Now tell me is that Derby game a farmers league game or atmosphere. If he can hack that then surely he can face teams like Burnley etc. I find it amazing people say oh send him on loan to champo team next season.
