Have a cry. It’s good for the soul.
He is a lovely footballer already. My only worry is his explosiveness in terms of acceleration. He clearly had enough at youth level to get away from defenders. He needs to really keep working physically to maximise his burst.
I do worry a bit about that too. I get the impression that he was advanced physically at 15/16 and could use that to bully other 15/16/17 yo’s but once he gets into senior football he’s going to need a burst of pace to make his moves stick, otherwise he’s just going to be another Grealish type, with good feet, but not the zip or athleticism to make it really count.
He’s 17. Can and will get quicker and more explosive.
Tbh I’m still not 100% sure he’s a winger though
Yeah, pretty sure he’s gonna move inside at 21-22.He’s 17. Can and will get quicker and more explosive.

The likes of Palmer aren't the most explosive, but only need to get half a yard on you with a quick turn or feint before causing havoc.
Palmer has one of the quickest brains I've seen on the pitch (off the pitch he doesn't seem to know what day it is)
He's so hyper-focused on football he appears to be almost wholly unaware of anything else going on at all. It's incredible. I actually sort of envy it.
Future Balon D'Or winner?Yeh it's almost like a superpower. No opposition fan or criticism can ever hurt him because he won't fully know what's going on.
His technical ability combined with his utter gormlessness may make him the best player to have ever lived
Pep is an idiot- overthinks everything.Aside from thr politics of that award, I'd be surprised if he doesn't win at least once. He guy is consistent. Still can't believe Pep thought it was better to let him ago rather than integrate him into the team and sell one of their aging stars
Balancing actWhat does managed properly mean for you?
To me, the only mistakes we can really make are playing him too much, too young or starving him of opportunities to play at all.
Werner won’t play much now that Moore is fit imo. Johnson is actually a decent profile to have on the opposite wing to Moore because he’s a finisher and Moore is a creator.
The issues we have are when we need Johnson to create and it’s really not his strength right now.
Wonder if Palmer wants CL next season and agitates for a move (should those fucks not qualify)Aside from thr politics of that award, I'd be surprised if he doesn't win at least once. Tough night for him but what a reward, a goal he took brilliantly.
You can tell he's a player used to being way better than everyone around him. There will be growing pains.
