Player Mikey Moore

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

That's fair, he does always show attacking spark. But he had some clumsy and wasteful moments too that will give Ange some pause about unduly trusting him.

He'll barely have turned 18 when next season starts, still such a young guy.

This has effectively been his first 6 months playing mens football - he was playing u19's last year and has skipped u21's

By end of this season his development from how he is now may be as big as it has been from the start of the season, trusted with only a few minutes at end of a game to today when he starts a game and scoring his first goal for Spurs first team.

So what is he going to look like at the end of this season - maybe its starting 1 in 3 games and has scored say 6 goals this season, I just don't know.

But I think we wait until end of the season to asses his next steps

I do worry a bit about that too. I get the impression that he was advanced physically at 15/16 and could use that to bully other 15/16/17 yo’s but once he gets into senior football he’s going to need a burst of pace to make his moves stick, otherwise he’s just going to be another Grealish type, with good feet, but not the zip or athleticism to make it really count.
If Moore reaches Grealish's peak (record English transfer, first choice at a CL winner), that will be quite a career.

I like the way Moore can run with the ball, he’s quite easy to push around at present and saw that a few times last night. He has a good low centre of gravity, if he can add a bit of strength & pace as he gets more mature he’ll be some player.

He can't add pace, he either has it or he doesn't and it's clear at senior level he doesn't. However he is very intelligent and moves well.

But he can be a stronger runner which will come with a training program that he’ll be on and with age he’ll get naturally physically stronger. I look at guys like Grealish/De Bruyne/Deki who are not naturally quick but cover the ground because they are physically stronger. Mikey will not be a sprinter where he’ll run away from people with pure pace. He’s quick with the ball at his feet and that’s a skill that many don’t have.

For instance,go and look at the likes of Bale,Messi,Ronaldo at 17. They are scrawny little boys but with constant full time training they turn into men. Mikey won’t be crazy quick but he will get quicker. He’s so skilful and plays in a way that lightening pace is not an issue.
