An update on Yang who made his debut for us yesterday. Only played about 20 minutes but wow, what a talent! He's exceptionally talented with the ball, technically marvelous and a real quick thinker. He took on various players and through sheer tenacity and skill easily took it past them. Had a wicked shot from the corner of the box which almost took the keeper by surprise, the fact he was able to pull off that tight angle shot with such accuracy and power was even more surprising though.
He's clearly a very direct player who's always looking to cut in and drive towards goal by himself. Obviously still early days but I'm hoping he has the same impact for us that Walker did on loan all those years ago lol.
I think you'll benefit in the long term from sending Yang here on loan. It's a bit toxic at Spurs and I've seen some fans online questioning the decision to send him out on loan but I think that's largely an emotional response rather than a logical one from those fans. It could end very badly putting an 18 year old fresh from South Korea into a struggling Spurs side and praying that he will be the difference maker.
At QPR he will have time to settle and adapt into English football without much pressure and hopefully be ready for your first team next season. From his cameo though I do think he will go on to big things and as someone who watches every game I'll give regular updates on his progress, hopefully it'll cheer you all up lol.
