Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I would have liked to see Spurs win one more trophy and see a human walk on Mars before I shuffle off this mortal coil. It's going to Mars isn't it?

Barcelona v Atletico Madrid could be first La Liga match held in United States

Might as well dump this here. We're moaning about TV dates changing kick offs and over in Spain there's some supporters wondering what continent their game in 2 months time will be played in. Unbelievable.

Saudi will be all over this like a rash once the precedent has been set.........

How long before they make a to-good-to-refuse bid to host the CL final too.

In other news; another winter world cup awaits (this time in January).... At the expense of the surrounding domestic seasons again and another spike in injuries the year after.

Was warned about it. Ipswich captain refused to wear it and hasnt been charged. Only right. Can we just go back to black armbands

Not true.....

Geuhi was specifically warned about spouting religious stuff. They are allowed to not wear the rainbow......

"Last weekend, Ipswich's Sam Morsy was the only captain not to wear the armband due to his religious beliefs as a practising Muslim. The league has not made it compulsory for captains to wear the armband - instead allowing individual players to make their own choice."

If the Palace player is promoting his religion by a peaceful message, is not the Ipswich player promoting his by refusing to wear it?
One is promoting the practice of loving people whilst the other , the practice of throwing gay men off buildings.

In the first place, why do the powers that be always feel like they have to use football as some kind of vehicle to promote certain causes & messages, to politicise it...when it's so obviously gonna lead to such behaviours, players refusing to take the knee, wear the rainbow etc.

I mean, I get that it's watched by zillions around the world etc, but it's hardly the ideal platform and participants. More often than not, players don't even friggin know why they're asked (forced?) to do this or that, what it actually means & represents.

And as always, the thing is riddled with double standards...you can have a minute's silence/applause when something bad's happened in a country we like, but not when it's a country/culture we don't share much/anything with.

It's ridiculous but them mugs love an own goal, don't they. Let proper platforms and people do that talking.

Wont be surprised if they start offering the FA big money to have odd PL game abroad
I give it 5 years tops til we have PL games being played in China, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain...even the US, so it looks like 'democracies' are still important. The Charity Shield will go abroad within 2-3 years. That or they'll create in-season tourneys specially designed for them markets, who are no longer happy with just pre/post season exhibitions/jokes.

FA & PL will tell us clubs desperately need the money to compete in Europe, that it's about saving the game...heck, that they're even doing it for us! Also that after all the NFL & NBA are doing it and we don't complain when the shoe's on that foot blah blah blah.

Danny'd be the first one to jump on that bandwagon, for sure. PL games obvs, cause you gotta win something to play for the Shield.

To be honest, clubs may even screw the PL over and go at it themselves. The European Superleague will happen too, just too much money involved...just didn't get it right last time re timing, messaging and didn't grease enough palms. But they'll come again.
