Magnificent player. Respect the guy so much aswell after wanting to move, told he couldnt go,so he then knuckled down and played out of his skin. Then deservedly got his dream move.

Bale on the other hand............behaved like a spoilt brat

I don't know man, think I'll always love both of them, they gave us some fantastic moments. I can't begrudge them for moving on in their careers.

Bale, except for the last few weeks when EVERYONE knew where he was going, was an exceptional professional. Modric on the other hand agitated for a move to a rival club and had a few games where he wasn't 'in the right mind' to play for us.

That said, he was a superb player for us and never had any issue with him going to Madrid. He was a pure joy to watch - even the simple stuff in the middle of the park was done with an understated style.

That's what you get from players that come from the Balkans. We are pretty cunty people.

Regardless of if he said he wanted to go to that shit club in Fulham or if he never said it. He didn't go there, Levy did his job well and Luka did the same until the following season when we got the best deal to suit everyone. I know I'll probably get some shit for saying this but if Ledley had of stayed fit for his whole career I very much doubt he would have only ever played for us. In the end its a job and 99% of people want to earn and achieve as much as they can while they work.
All we can do as fans is show support to the ones that deserve it while they're at the club and hopefully the next Luca Modric will want to come to a great club with great fans.
Things like that interview and Soldado's tweets melt my heart and make me proud to be spurs.

Luka Modric has appeared as a key witness at a corruption trial involving a former Dinamo Zagreb director charged with tax evasion and embezzlement.

The 31-year-old Real Madrid midfielder, who is not a suspect, gave evidence in the trial of Zdravko Mamic, who was Dinamo's executive director between 2003 and 2016.

Modric said he had a deal with Mamic to pay the club 50 per cent of his transfer to Tottenham in 2008. He said the transfer was worth "between" £18.5m and £20.2m (€21m and €23m euros).

Modric said that, after the sums were paid to Dinamo's and his bank accounts in Croatia, he gave an unspecified amount "cash in hand" to Mamic's brother and son.

"My goal was to clear all of my debts toward him, so I don't owe him (Mamic) anything else in the future," Modric said.
