I generally like being positive on my posts but I do get Moura vibes with Kudus ie. dribbling down blind alleys and not picking best teammate option frequently.

He's nothing like Lucas tbh, Kudus uses a combination of good centre of gravity and brilliant close control to go wherever he likes on the pitch whilst bringing the ball with him, Lucas was a slight player who never really fit the physicality of the PL, and relied largely on good footwork and pace to get past a man, with the beasts at full back in the PL he was very often shuttled out wide trying to find a long pass or cross in to Kane or Dele/Eriksen from around the corner flag.
He's not the kind of player opposing defenders can afford to give space to, which means he will very effectively stretch play when he breaks through the lines with the ball at feet. We completely lack any kind of threat like that from our current crop of players, out of our forward line Son is entirely reliant on positioning to score or assist now, hard to tell how Solanke will be deployed by Frank but he's not overly mobile tbh, Maddison is a give and go type player, Johnson again is all about the timed runs, so you have a front line who all need the perfect ball played in to them and no one who can break the lines by going past 2 or 3 men with the ball at feet.
That is why I feel we have been passing it about the opposition box in possession and ultimately doing fuck all, Kudus is the kind of player on his day who will have an opposition manager ripping up their tactic sheet at half time. Excited to see him do his thing in a Spurs shirt.

I think playing style and system under Potter was the difference.

The problem with tjis video is that you can see his brilliant dribbles which makes him look really good, but you dont see what happened after that. Did he manage to find a teammate, or did he dribble too much and lose the ball? That is what matters more but isnt shown.
He did really well for Ajax in the Champions League against quality opposition: 4 goals and 2 assists in 6 matches. Scored against Liverpool, Napoli and Rangers.

He's exactly what we need for very long. Strong and quick but with the technical skills. He's the sort of midfielders Newcastle build on making their midfield so solid and bully us whenever we play them in recent times.
