I thought rodon was decisive for that corner. He left one nearly short before so he put the next one in row z and out. If in doubt and all that. I rather he did that than try roll it back to a poor enough keeper while sprinting towards his own goal.
Tanganga was shocking for that goal.
He should be getting that out for a throw in. Rodon also shouldn't be assuming the keeper is going to claim that... it's right on the edge of the box and he's under pressure. It's not like Gollini called him off... It's just a play he needs to make.

Obviously, you can't fault a player for a goal just for giving away a corner. Team has to be able to defend a corner.

As I said, it leaves us with a difficult dilemma. I think you're being a bit melodramatic though - if we said he could go for £10m I bet you there would be clubs all over Europe who would bite your hand off for that deal. But we can't regularly pay £50m+ for players then let them go a couple of years later for peanuts. So it's a case of how much we could get for him. I'm obviously not naive enough to think we can get £50m for N'Dombele right now - as I said that's the problem - but equally we can't really let him go for £10m if we want to have a sustainable business (and therefore club). You might be able to do that occasionally with one player, but you can't do it with 3 or 4 every years as seems to be suggested on here.

Ndombele is owed 42 months wages @ 200kpw.

= approx £36.4m

Even if we gave him away that's a big undertaking for anyone but the top 6/7 richest clubs in the world (who likely don't even want him).

We are literally gonna have to pay to get rid of him unless he'll agree to rip up his deal..... Which of course he won't cos he's a fucking parasite.

Absolute shit-show.

Like I said earlier..... Send him to the kids and treat him mean.... The guy has no character... We may just force his hand to make a compromise at least.

I didn't think Doc was quite as bad today as some thought. But I still want him exterminated by a rabid Dalek. Just because.

But what a fucking mess of a player Ndombele is. Literally the wierdest dude I've seen in a Spurs shirt. Jogging off like that. Fucking sprint like Gill you lazy puffing fuck. If he was a Greek mythological beast, he'd be half toll both attendant, half burger. Please please shed the reptilian skin Spurs and ditch this bone-idle ponce.

Dele. Finished. But we already know this. Not even an eighth of what he once was.

And their Goalini was better than our Gollini. It's as if Joe Hart had inseminated Vanilla Ice and he'd shat out a C-grade rapping twat with the reaction time of a smack addict. There's no point to him.

Rodon by far the worst game I've seen him play for us and I was shocked at just how half-hearted and shite he was. Guess that's what the manager's have picked up on.

Tanganga needs a loan out. Just a disaster of late and we need him working things out in the championship for a season before his confidence is destroyed for good.
And the post of the year goes to.....

Pretty disheartening watching us today we don't even have flat track bullies which would have been enough without having to bring on the lads we did .Conte wouldn't be around long enough to really turn around the entire squad the way its needed to challenge for serious honours .

He seems to be listening to what Conte is telling him.
I think that would be the attribute that most managers would praise in him. He might not be Danny Blanchflower or Ossie Ardiles but he'll do what you tell him.

Unless our current and past managers have been telling Ndombele to loaf about midfield and not bother to make any effort whatsoever for balls played more than six inches from your feet, you can see why he's still here and still gets picked.

I've mentioned before my Scouse mate who passionately defends Henderson for his reliable week-in-week-out 6.5/10 performances. He makes an excellent case.

Winks is our Hendo.

Out of interest, of all those playing today, who do you most hope will perform well?

For me mostly I'd like to see good performances from Gil, Sess and Lo Celso, as I feel that those 3 in particular still have the jury out to a great extent.

Conversely, I can't help but think that Dele has had far too many chances now, and can't change much with a good performance today (other than perhaps get a move elsewhere), Doherty similarly probably can't really impress enough now (especially if we are signing another right-sided player soon), and (sadly) similar for N'Dombele, just too many chances for him to suddenly change into a super-fit energetic dynamic player to would help us.

Just my thoughts of course - others may have very different preferences. :)
Looking back at this now, I guess we shouldn't be surprised at how the game turned out. Focussing on the players I picked out before the game, split into those whose performances I 'cared about' most and least:

Sess - did pretty well I thought, encouraging
Gil - hit and miss, but far from the worst performer
Lo Celso - pretty ineffective, so often flatters to deceive, another poor game tbh

Meanwhile:
Dele - rubbish again, expected nothing else
Doherty - ditto
N'Dombele - ditto

So whilst the game was pretty depressing, at least the worst players were those who most of us expected to be the worst - at least it's not as though one of our great hopes had a terrible game. I keep hoping Lo Celso will come through and make it, but sadly I don't think it's going to happen, not with us anyway.
