So can someone tell me if the release clause has been met or is met also by another club why he can't say yes I want to go no hard feelings and he says he wants a new challenge. Else why would a release clause be in a contract.

Whole transfer market would grind to a halt if clubs absolutely did not ever speak to players.
United have used the media to indirectly tap players up for decades.
1st they leak that they're keen.
Then the player leaks that he'd be interested.
Then United leak a ballpark wage amount.
Then the player doesn't turn up for training and it's all over.
Yet no one from United ever met the player, your honour.
Unless of course the release clause itself (which would be added to this form via the additional clauses provision at the end) stated otherwise.
But Forest has apparently been soliciting bids for MGW well in excess of his release clause. That seems completely insane, but it definitely indicates they thought this was a secret.

Just really annoying that the enjoyment of the rarest of things in modern football, a big transfer being completed in hours from first rumour, has been delayed.

I think the point is he's a football finance expert and not a contract law expert. As Jordan says, it's going to be very difficult to prove inducement.For a football financial expert, that Mr Bean bloke's thinking is quite muddled. I could do his job.
