Even if it drags for several weeks you have to persist, provided you know the outcome will be positive and the player is your ideal target. To give up on 5 years of having an ideal player because it'll take you a few extra weeks to wrap up a transfer makes no sense.

Quite right...End of the day apparently Gibbs-White has told them he wants to leave and not renewing his contract. He wants to come to the bright lights of London and not stay in a city where they talk about robin hood all the time. Must get boring after a while.
I don't see it that way at all. After 2 or 3 games this whole saga will be forgotten. This imbecile is only giving himself a bad reputation. Agents won't want to work with him after this.
