I have actually just found out the full story from the player's side now, and whilst I can't disclose any of it, this whole mess is completely understandable.

FWIW I believe this is still likely to go through once all the chest beating has died down.

To be fair they were linked with Ekitike before Newcastle showed interest. I think his ceiling is as high as Isak's but will cost half the amount.

I understand your argument, but ultimately CAA Stellar negotiated the release clause to ensure their client had the ability to choose his next club if he performed sufficiently well to be worth the £60m price.

If CAA Stellar now allow Marinakis to dictate where the player goes, then MGW should fire his agent, and find a new one who will act in his best interests.
