Someone needs to file suit against Forest- this is getting to the point where fundamentals of existing contract law are being abused. It’s fucking insane that they even dare to claim this justification. In a just world PL fines forest 10% of fee and awards to us just for wasting everyone’s fucking time.

Suspect they want MGW to play 8 as well, which you don’t get with Simons.

Also don’t think Simons is a deal Levy is capable of tbh.
 
Pretty sure this would resolve quicker if the player threatened to take action.

Now he, apparently, doesn't want to leave on bad terms, but NF are not exactly showing any consideration for the players desire to play for us- the Club he wants.

Seems a bit weird. I'd be fuming, regardless of the circumstances of the release clause, if the Club were just ignoring a Club I wanted to play for who have, indeed, triggered said release clause.

Yes it's likely MGW's agent leaked the release clause amount but what's the fucking point in having one if nobody can know what it is.

How's that serving the player ffs?

NF know all to well how these things go down in reality.

Their frustration really stems from the release clause being too low in their opinion, and that MGW has refused to sit down to sign a new contract.

Had that clause been 80 million none of us this would he happening, regardless of how we approached it.

They're taking their anger out on us, when really it's themselves and MGW where the frustration lies.

Only Morgan Gibbs White can do that and he has not done anything so far, so the transfer is dead. On top of that it has jepordised minimum fee release clauses in contracts.
