Can barely stand to watch MotD these days, bunch of sanctimonious pricks specially jug ears.

But I quite liked that little segment they did today of the player diving with the platoon music (Adagio for strings)

That should be a regular segment, shame the divers in this league.

They won't do that though as Salah will be on it every other week

I only watch the actual game footage, as the punditry is of poor quality and getting worse every week. I'd rather see ten minutes more of the game than hear the likes of Shearer, Keown, etc give their opinions.

Unfortunately, motd is fairly redundant these days. Most Saturdays they only get 3 or 4 games and it's usually the crapper teams. The way games are scheduled these days and the fact that you can get the highlights on YouTube a few minutes after the games makes it hardly worthwhile for the BBC I'd imagine

I haven't watched MOTD for at least a year - Like you say, highlights are online very quickly. I watch Sky's ones, there are usually 2-3 mins but have no analysis so it is an easy way of being caught up with results. So much quicker.

Agree. Not paid TV licence for c.10 years, time to defund this left wing, woke operation - not fit for purpose and terrible value for money

If you haven't accessed the BBC's output for 10 years, how on earth do you know it's 'left wing & woke' and 'terrible value for money'? Are you relying on other peoples' opinions? If you are, let me assure you it's definitely NOT left wing and it's excellent value for money. You're missing out big time.

Just had a thought - I certainly hope you're not bumming off the rest of us license fee payers, like a leeching little parasitic scumbag, are you?

Rog, no. I contribute thousands in various taxes every month, only for it to be wasted by left wing civil servants. If I choose not to watch the BBC and in turn not pay off the fee, that’s my choice.

If it’s good value for money, make it optional subscription and watch it compete with the other content providers

It's good to know you're not one of the leeching little parasitic scumbags, but a fine person of solid principles.

Wouldn't have expected anything less of a Yid.

Incidentally, how would you feel about your hard-earned taxes being wasted by right wing civil servants? They do exist. I know some.

The BBC is already 'optional subscription'.
You pay a license fee which allows you to watch it. It's your choice.
If you watch it without paying the fee it is against the law. Just the same as streaming Sky or BT.

Ahhhh, but Sky are a paragon of virtuous neutrality........ Whereas the BBC are all communists.... Or somethin'.

They hardly market it as optional. All you can do so spread the word, I’ve convinced 5-10 to also stop paying so if everyone does the same it will be done in a year or so
