ETH - "We have to invest a lot"

Mega-coach? Meh... Same old shit.

Media: "United are back".... Fuck off..... Until they win the league again they are not "back". (According to their pompous fuck talking heads they are a higher standard, no?)

Having followed the ball for several yards, the offside Rashford even pulled his leg back and feigned a shot. How is that not interfering with play, even though he didn't touch the ball?

If you are forcing the oppo to defend (or even consider defending) you, then you are interfering....... It's fucking obvious; no matter how one wants to twist the letter of the rulebook to their cause.

With the keeper totally anticipating a Rashford shot who was clearly offside before that gobby cunt Bruno who wasn’t offside stepped in

Disgraceful decision by that tosser Atwood

...The lino actually flags, but VAR over-rules.

How is that a "clear and obvious" error(*); ergo cause to over-rule(*)?

Bent as fuck.

(*The line-drawing crap isn't governed by "C&O", byt that aspect of the call is!)

This was the exact discussion I was having in the Other Matches thread earlier. Unless there has been a rule change about what constitutes interfering with play, how can you not deem Rashford to have been interfering with play?

I don't think this is a clear and obvious decision/revision, it's either a new rule application or just a plain old fuck up by the VAR ref.

Does anyone know if the rules have been changed?

They flashed the rules up on MOTD...... The leeway is that a) Rashford didn't touch the ball or b) attempt to touch the ball.

So I guess; yeh another shitty rule-change.

The penalty Harland should have had was even worse IMO. Casimero clearly places his leg into Harland, forcing Haaland to clip his own leg as he was about to shoot. Stone wall penalty - the kind of thing the VAR referee is meant to correct - where a ref doesn't.

This isn't a "VAR" issue - it's absolutely a human one and how that cunt Webb has decided the PL referees aren't going to bother with VAR as it undermines them.

Oooooh look! Dyche in the crowd for Forest/Leicester.

"Can you see me Brenton?"

Gotta be honest; I just saw it as the UTD player getting their leg ahead of Haaland as he was swinging for the shot.

VAR is no problem... (Aside from at Anfield the other night which is dodgy as fuck that they've kept it hish that some grounds aren't fitted out properly!); bottom line is that VAR is not a problem... It's just a bunch of cameras and TV screens.

Looks like a dummy as he leaves it for Bruno to me....... Again; clearly Rashford is in play.

I just watched it, Rashford is just about to swing at it and he gets a shout from Fernandes to leave it I think. If that's ok in the rules then fair fucks, but it's one of those that seems very counter intuitive. How long will it be before teams actually start using players in deliberate offside positions to cause mayhem.

Edit
I mean actually having routines where offside players distract and feign to go for a ball and dummy it for someone else.
