Media MOTD Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

How funny would it be if the beeb decide to leave it like that? They should get it sponsored by YouTube.
No 20 minute discussion about a 3 minute clip to stretch the whole thing out.
No squawking commentators
No need to get all genders and sexual leanings catered for
And no hypocritical ex footballers using the sport for their ignorant views on current affairs
The licence fee paying public are the winners

I didn't watch it cos it sounded like it'd be shit and from what's being said I was right.

Are there extended highlights on the BBC website? If not then this format is really not sustainable for the BBC.

The New Improved MOTD...

1. It's much better without the commentary.

2. It's much better without the pundits.

3. It could be longer.

4. It's unsurprising that we're still down at number 4 in the schedule - plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

5. I got to see the 2 goals I missed earlier, due to cats & wood.

Anyone else notice how after we scored each of our goals they audibly turn down the microphones so you can’t hear the cheers. There’s a second of noise then they turn them down. Actually, they did it for the forest goal too. Strange.

I didn’t miss the “banter” and agendas. Never bringing them back is not a bad thing.

Why no theme tune ?

Match commentary a miss. If you have visual compromises without commentary you do get left behind, that’s a shame & unnecessary.

On reflection, i think the commentary adds to the experience (although the expert co-commentator adds absolutely nothing') but the punditry can fuck off and never come back.

Increased viewing figures were always going to happen due to the media coverage. I don't watch motd other than our games, but last night's fare wouldn't last long at that time slot in that format.

More highlights, add commentary and don't turn down the sound after a goal has been scored.

I preferred it really BUT I still think the BBC have got this wrong and shouldn't have buckled to the right wing press and certainly not this woeful government.

Gary is allowed his opinions on a range of issues and people are allowed to disagree with him but forcing him off the air? Sorry, that's pathetic but also indicative of how weak this government is.
