Mourinhio @ Spurs

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I know what your saying abot Moyes and when he's spent money but you only have to say the name Marco Boogers to West Ham fans when Harry was there.

As much as you might doubt Moyes spending youcord you cant doubt signings like Cahil (£1mil was it?), Arteta (only a few mil), Lescott (bout £5mil?) Howard (bout £3mil?) even Pienaar who has been one of THIER best players was only a few millie.

"If a player will only come to Spurs because Mourinho is in charge, I'm not sure I'd want them."

Exactly.

But Levy will seek to employee him anyway.

Players wont only come to us becasue Jose is in charge, there is the money too dont forget!

Let's not forget Harry being in charge would have been a major motivating factor in getting Parker, Ade and co...

Can I ask why people say 'look at what happened to Chelsea after him?" I don't really understand why Chelsea falling off was anything to do with him? It seems to be a problem with Ruski over there not being happy that any of the managers post Mourinho, the mess there hasn't really been due to him has it?

Cant help but think this is tee'd up for JM.

-has said his next job will be a footballing (ego massaging) challenge, not taken for finacial gain.
-Its all in place. Harry's baked the cake, how he'd love to stroll over, put the cherry on it and claim it as his own.
-CL Groupstage on a plate *touch wood*
-Big FU to RAbramovich?

Might go and get my Carvalho shirt printed up now. Sigh.

Get Pepe instead, if everyone is going to hate us we may as well get the most cunty player in the world (after Terry)

If we think that half our players are genuinely playing out of loyalty to the shirt and Spurs then we're living in lala land. Might as well tell Modric and Benny to piss off right now.

It's all about the money, being made to feel important and whether they will get to play.

Players join Man U because they win trophies, they pay well and they're a huge worldwide enterprise not because they love Manchester. Players join Man City because they pay well.

That's the way of the world and those happy days of club loyalty went a long time ago. If the JM means that we are able to keep some of our key players and get some more world class players in who might not have looked at Spurs before, then I'm willing to take that on the chin. The club I love is still there, in Tottenham, playing in the white shirts with the badge on it.

At least we won't have gone out and bought the title by getting some russian billionare/Sheik throwing stupid money at it. for me that would be a far harder pill to swallow.

I said it before but where we are now I just don't see it as the time to fuck about with an untested manager at this level. If we want to push on we've got to go for the best manager we can find. We missed Ancelotti and right now JM is looking like the only plausible, world class manager*.

*I just don't think Hiddink would be the right man comparible to JM, but he is an option.

First of all I can fully understand not wanting Mourinho, he is a cunt. He bitches and moans when he doesn't get his way, but he is a great manager no one can deny that.

Harry Redknapp will leave spurs for England whether is now or the end of the season, so we need someone soon. I think it was Thelonious on the podcast who said our next manager is the most important one in our history. This is FACT! We've got a great squad who can win the premier league next season.

So who do we get that will/might be available if approached? Moyes, Hiddunk, Cappello or Mourinho are the names that stick out.

For me its Mourinho all the way. And as you can see from my first paragraph I understand for most die hard spurs fans he's not a favorite choice. He's Ex Chelsea after all but 'arry was Ex West Ham and look what he's done for us.

But I've been spurs all my life and started watching spurs since the early 2000's, so I've seen enough shit to want Mourinho all the more. We've had managers like Hoddle, Pleat, Santini and Ramos fail. So we shouldn't really complain if Mourinho comes to our club. Yes he might and probably fuck of after a few years but he will win us trophies and keep our best players because of his reputation.

So who would you rather want Mourinho or a manager that can't handle the pressure of a big club like spurs and take us back to mid table.

Think about how much we can stick it up Chelsea fans if he joins, its the least those chav cunts deserve for trying to fuck up our season.

Will have to be someone like JM or Hiddink if we want to try and keep our big players (and attract new players). This will definitely be a massive factor as to what direction we take as a club. Levy will have been gearing up for this since the moment he employed Harry. In Levy we trust

I'm with this.

First off - let me be clear that I don't want Harry to leave.

As for Mourinho....I'd welcome him, the players love him (Madrid aside).
If there is any one manager that can keep Bale & Modric, it'll be him and I suspect that Levy would back him in the transfer market unequivocally.
For me....there is nobody else that I can think of, to take us the next step.

It don't take rocket science to work out that we have been missing a decent striker since Berba left and even then, he would pick and choose which games to turn up him.

Mourinho = Thumbs Up.

Harry to Stay = Double Thumbs Up.

No to Mourinho.

Don't get me wrong, he wins titles wherever he goes but these are the downsides.

•Every club he has left has hit a downward spiral after that

•Chelsea arguably has recovered the best, but with Roman's riches and a poisonous dressing room
•Inter had a horrible season after he left, and expectations rose so high his replacements never had a chance to settle, now in their 4th manager since 2010
•Porto was raided for every quality player when he moved to his new club. (again showing how he looks out for himself)
•Madrid is in the midst of their best chance to win la liga since 2007-2008. Of course, that's when he declares he's ready to quite in the middle of the damn season
•Dirty dirty dirty.

•Chelsea were scum before him, under him they became worse, diving cheating ref surrounding, you name it.
•The Barca / Madrid rivalry has always been heated, but eye gouging another assistant manager is ridiculous
Let's be honest, we're dreaming if we think he will even come/or stay long with Wenger and Fergueson possibly leaving their posts soon

Even if he does
We may win things while he's here but he leaves scorched earth behind him whenever he leaves a club. Chelsea and Inter have the money to survive that. We don't.

Levy keeps us alive financially by controlling the clubs' finances. I guarantee you Mourinho will want full control wherever he goes since Chelsea. and if he can get madrid to surrender control, it will take levy surrendering control to Mourinho to get him here.

And he will bankrupt us when he leaves. We may have some silverware to show for it, but hey, so do leeds.

What do we compromise? I disagree with the perception that he only plays negative football, some of madrid's play this season has been sublime.

but we pride ourselves for playing the game the right way. The fair play table means nothing to us, but we take pride in how relative to the rest of the league, we keep it clean, some diving from bale, handballs from vdv, bad tackles from bae & dirty stuff from huddlestone the exceptions rather than the norm.

Under mourinho, we would become as detestable as chelsea. I don't want to see king, parker and modric surrounding the referee. I don't want lennon jumping over tackles and landing on legs on purpose. Every team he has touched has learned the dark arts.

I want none of that here.

AVB gets the sack at Chelsea - we pick him up - can play his A game with us (have a similar make-up of players as he had at porto) - win everything - Podcasters have to jump in front of a train.

Done.

I would not want Mourinho, no one is bigger than the club.
