Moyes

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

To be fair, who is? They knew that when they had a vacancy to fill. I was baffled as to why they weren't looking at one of the very best managers out there, but then I suppose that many would not want to work with the previous man hanging around in the background.

I always thought whoever followed Fergie was on a hiding to nothing, and would essentially become a patsie to take the inevitable flak and clear the way for a more suited manager to follow.

I did think Moyes fit the bill well, Utd get to look good giving it to a young (ish) British manager, lots of good vibes.... Only to follow it with Klopp or similar once the ghost of Fergie consumes Moyes and slinks off to the shadows.

Then they gave him a 6 year deal, which makes me think that they at least intend to see it though and believe he is the man for the job.

Ive argued at length before, I just do not see how they reached that conclusion.

I would say now though the pressure is clearly getting to him.

That article though suggests that if they have a bad yeah "they have the financial strength to change the team". But how effective will Moyes be in the summer transfer window?

He wont. At all. IMHO. Just look at his time at Everton, whenever he spent significant funds (relatively) he got it wrong.

Anyone think he's getting closer to the Tin Tack?

Despite the length of the contract, he is testing them isn't he.

Fergie would have had one arse cheek hanging out the door just from the fan rage, but would have had legend status. All moyes has is a long contract.

Legend has it, that moyes is cannon fodder to make it easier for a decent manager to take over and look good compared to him, rather than having to match up to SAF

The only thing sparing him at the moment is the fact that the board will be saying " Look what happened to Fergie after he was given time"

Has he done a post match interview yet? I wonder if it is going to be as cringeworthy as his one after we beat them..
The way he didn't want to talk about the game or their diving but how much of a scandal the ref's decisions were, of which by the way, has he been charged yet?

If I were them, I'd probably can him. There's giving him time, but they seem to have improvement at all. They should either help him sign players this window, or get rid.

Owch, look at this that just appeared on twitter:

Utd, with a few notable exceptions, have been signing middle-of-the-road players for years but the genius of Fergie meant that they usually fit in to his system and played beyond themselves. While this team is underperforming under Moyes I still don't think they have the players to compete with City or Chelsea under any other manager but Fergie.

Personally I hope he stays for a while, if only that it may free up one of the top four places if they continue to perform thus. The Glazers may not have the patience for Moyes to turn things around and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he is sacked in the morning.

That's probably right.

We don't really know much about them management wise, as fergie had a tenure at Utd regardless.

Another funny, just for smiles (blurry tho :( ):
