Yeah saw them at the tax payers stadium few years ago, was one to tick off but not one of the greatest gigs I ever been to.
It was probably because of the Honky Tonk women

At least you’d find the answer. That Sky Bar would be a smashing place to be drunk in, when it starts swaying from the winds!

Saw them at Glastonbury. Admittedly I was unbelievably hungover but I thought they were a real disappointment then. Can only imagine they’re worse now a decade or so later.

I’m not so sure, there’s just about some life left in them yet. Should at least help with our injuries. With Mick, we could Start Him Up front and Keith should give satisfaction playing a high line.
If I am in the Paxton, is it possible to walk around to The Shelf bar? Some reprobates there I may want to share a beer with.

I think the real question is what was possible in terms of renovation and expansion of WHL as it was.
An oblong St. James' Park in N17?
I dunno, for me if the stadium lacks a soul it's because the chairman has ripped it out of the chest of the club that plays there.
Realise it’s a bit tragic to quote oneself but below are my feelings. It used to feel like our place - the fans’ home. Now it feels very much like I’m a customer of their place. Can’t put it more simply than that.
Running out of energy to post anything really. But here goes…
It’s really sad what’s happened to this club. I remember going to WHL and it feeling like our place. The fans’ home. The owners had their part of the West Stand to play the whole corporate thing. But the ground was ours. The feeling when you arrived around the Shelf, PL, Paxton… it was truly home. In fact, I was always happy and comfortable around WHL. My stadium. My people.
Now it’s such a horrible, foreign, plastic consumer experience. You’re treated like a shitty customer from the moment when you reach the perimeter. Charged despicable money to enter what is now simply a grotesque corporate entertainment hub. No value put on us. Hordes of horrible high vis vermin shouting and directing ‘fans’. Thousands of tourists, neutrals… It’s just deeply unpleasant. I hate how ENIC have taken over and destroyed the club. It doesn’t exist. A home of mine has been totally killed off.
It’s still beautiful to find genuine Spurs fans still around. But we’re dying out amongst the plastic masses. And we mean nothing, literally nothing to our administrative leaders. And the most disturbing thing is that the value they’ve built out of repurposing our club is worth more than ever. It’s totally sick.
You can’t judge on a one off season which hasn’t even finished yet.Commoli talking about this on Talk sport.
Couldn't stay at old stadium and chase Top4
(maybe have a look at Bournemouth eh Damien)
