Stadium New Stadium

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We aren't going to play any PL games at Wembley, they've sold different tickets to different people at different prices.

The timing of the ticket sales was completely in their control, if there was still a chance of having to play at Wembley they could have just waited another few months to sell the tickets...

Well,

Lucky enough to have been behind the scenes at the new Stadium. Got to look out of what will be a corporate box in the North Stand. OMG, you are all in for a treat. What struck me was how compact it still seemed, which I know was the plan all along. Obviously a much bigger stadium, but still very intimate certainly in its current state - very clever design. With the roof on, I guess this will further enclose things. I really can imagine this place rocking when everyone is in full voice.

Having said that, I may have been a bit disorientated and it been a box in the west stand, same applies though.

Did you get to see the directors room? I loved the private elevator that opens up and you walk straight out to where they all sit through a large dining room, so Levy and co can pull up in the basement and go straight up, not having to mix with the ruffians. “Let them eat cheese”

Hadn't been round the area for a while and it just takes your breath away when you see how it just dominates the skyline. Should be going there quite a few times over the next couple of months, so will be interesting to see it progresses.

Amazing how I can actually look forward to going to work for a change. lol.

Tottenham Hotspur have until the end of the month to tell the FA whether or not they want to extend their 12-month tenancy at Wembley, after retaining a contractual option to play a number of games there next season. This may be necessary as the club’s new stadium will not be ready for their first matches.

Tottenham are working towards a September opening for their new ground at White Hart Lane, but the timetable remains fluid and they are considering other options in case of further delays. There have been talks with the Premier League about beginning the season with a series of away matches, a request that is likely to be granted in some form, but the League are reluctant to offer Tottenham more than the three away fixtures they gave to Liverpool and West Ham United in 2016-17 and 2017-18 respectively.

Any return to Wembley would require the Premier League to waive rules stating that clubs must play all their home matches at one ground in a single campaign, as Tottenham’s option to spend the whole of next season at the national stadium expired last month and the club are eager to move into their new stadium as soon as possible. The Premier League may be willing to make an exception on the grounds that Tottenham hosting a handful of fixtures at Wembley would do less to damage the integrity of the competition than starting the season with four or more away games.

Having qualified for the Champions League, which begins in the second week of September, the club have also had talks about starting their European campaign at Wembley as they will not be in a position to demand a run of away games from Uefa.

The Premier League has also set Tottenham a deadline of May 31 to be given formal notice of their stadium opening date and staging plans for next season.

Tottenham’s only firm fixture commitment at their new ground is the NFL game between Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders on October 14, but the club will do everything they can to ensure that the stadium opening features Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Hmm. Not that surprising really.

If we start at Wembley but are in our new ground by the end of September that wouldn't be the worst outcome in the world.

The schedule always looked tight but we had a prolonged winter and I doubt that helped.

I just hope the first event there isn't an NFL game. That just wouldn't feel right.
