Our current wage cap is rumored to be 100thousand a week (with captain Hugo possibly on more). When we move into the new stadium, almost doubling the match day revenue, what's the new wage cap to be?
My guess would be 150thousand, as debts will still need to be paid.

Will this be enough to keep the star players?

Toby, Harry, Rose, Eriksen, Dele?

Old article I just came across so apologies if this horse has already been kicked. But we often talk about what the club will be capable of "after the increased stadium revenue" when we have better "financial parity" and glancing over the accounts it just feels like we're being a bit optimistic.

Figure in optimistically:

£20M Nike raise
£10M in improved terms for AIA
£50M in additional matchday income (very optimistic as it'd put us just behind United in this regard)
£10M in stadium sponsorship (in the neighborhood of what new stadiums globally are being named for)

Additional turnover: £90M
Total turnover: £300M

That puts us level with the dippers in 5th BEFORE you factor in their new stand. Likely to remain £50M+ behind them and woolwich, a gap that can be closed with some silverware and the fact we actually make money via the academy. But Chavs and City will continue to dope, and the commercial monster that is United isn't relenting any time soon.

All of this to say - we really ought to look at holding Poch's family hostage for about 20 years.

More realistically a £65k p/w player may be renewed on the order of £85k p/w.

My first question would be , In which country do they use caps as currency? And of course my 2nd ,Will the players be happy getting paid in headwear ?
 
I think 150k would be tops. Which, apart from the very top players, is enough. If you look at Real Madrid. Its only Bale, Ronaldo and probably Ramos that get more than that.

Things is they also get loads of money through sponsors etc , the sponsors will probably end up having part ownership of players & charging teams for use of " their product"

Third party ownership in players is not allowed in the PL is it not? Or at least it is about to become I think

I think you're missing the point, it's a self-imposed cap or 'wage structure'. The new stadium will lead to it being 'lifted' or 'restructured', depending on your metaphor of choice.

My question is, will it be enough to keep this squad and Poch, or not.

Players have always gone where they can make the most money / win trophies. Dont understand why that is such an issue now. Is it because Liverpool, Barca, Milan and Juve are losing their best players?

Nobody moaned when Ronaldo, Zidane and Kaka went for big fees.
