Are Sporting shit to watch?

I watched a bunch of their Champs/Europa league matches.

Very similar to how we looked under Conte this season.

Usually over-run in the midfield. Sit back and counter. Play a lot of long balls. Relied heavily on Edwards to create something. Goncalves is ok, but nothing to write home about.

Like Starks said. Way too similar to the shit we saw this season.

Slot will fall by the wayside like all the others.

He will be on a hiding to nothing for no other reason than Poch going to Chelsea.

It's a fucking mess.

I still say Rodgers was approached in December / January and we are just going through the motions.

It's Brendan Rodgers.

I'm neither desperate for Rodgers or likely to gamble on who the next victim is.

Whatever happened to Paulo Fonseca?

Couldn't he get a tune out of this lot?

I had never heard of Fonseca before we were linked with him in 2021 a bit like Slot.

I’m kind of beyond caring who it is now. I’d rather a manager I don’t know than someone like Rodgers or Potter who I already know what they bring to the table. I’m actually not completely against them but I think that could be down to desperation.

Anyway, if it is this Dutch bloke then I hope he’s given a decent chance by fans and the media.

Could this new fan friendly set up organise a questions and answers with Levy where he is interrogated and asked for direct answers regarding who bought certain players?

I think we should nominate this guy to ask the difficult questions.

Well surely that's where his coaching comes in hand? We may just end up seeing the likes of Sarr, Bissouma and Gil flourish as well as the improvement of players like Skipp and Kulusevski who could both probably benefit from a progressive coach.

Walker was a walking disaster at one point who got more abuse than any Spurs players I can remember and Rose was a failed winger. Good coaching turned them into the best full backs in the Premier League.

It won't be easy to turn Porro and Udogie into solid full backs but we would need to let our coach do his magic with two of our most promising young players. He may decide Porro is better as a winger in a 4231. He may decide to have use for Emerson as a right back for when Udogie starts at left back. Who knows?

As a coach, he may just find a way of using one of our midfielders (or a new signing) to be able to drop into the back four to make a three when Porro and Udogie play.

Unless of course something is happening behind the scenes with regards to both.

He seems confident in his abilities.
Amazing how different people see a situation depending on their positivity, or lack thereof.

I see Slot the same way you do, he wants to test himself at the highest level, and will back himself regardless of the team he manages, not that he's desperate and will take any gig.

The same for Postecoglou for me. He's cut his teeth on these shores successfully, the same as everywhere else he's been.

Either one, I believe, will blow a fresh breeze through this club and, win or lose, they will entertain us.

What happens to Slot if Poch goes to Chelsea, revives them and beats Spurs home and away?

De Zerbi does strange strange things with rotating his squad.

Sometimes pays off, sometimes it doesn’t like so far away at barcodes.

Really think he’d piss Spurs fans off in a heartbeat
Been watching them a lot recently one game they look very good, the next all over the show. I'm always a bit sceptical how a manager does when taking over midway through a season, as it's a bit of a free run.

After a managers had their own preseason is when you can really tell how it's going.

Depends on how well we are doing in the other games, how entertaining we are to watch, if there seems to be a method and style developing. Poch should do brilliantly at Chelsea with all that money and a lot of players he is inheriting so it will be no surprise if they do well against us.

I'm amazed at the credit Ange is getting. The SPL made winners out of Gerrard Lennon and Rodgers. I'd rather Slot but we have zero no risk options at this point so yeah it could go wrong.
Because all you're seeing is a single stint at Celtic.

He's been successful everywhere he's managed. More to the point, he's turned average teams into quality teams.

I'm not claiming he'll make us Champions, but he'll improve us significantly, of that I am quietly confident.
