Any chance of another poll reset, The Extra Mile(sey) The Extra Mile(sey) ? Slot ruled himself out ages ago and he's currently got more than twice the votes of Costacoffee.

I love polls, me.

3 years at Hasselhoff
2 at RB then poached.
2 years Bayern.

pretty much perfectly set up to stick around at Spurs.

Sometimes the most obvious solution really is the right one. Occams Razor. He's at the top of the poll in this forum, would be top on any Spurs fan board in the world, except Australia maybe.

If you asked any neutral who is the best fit for Spurs and also the best candidate available, the majority would say Nageslmann.

We are all talking ourselves into other candidates because none of trust Levy to make the best decision if it means he needs to give up some control.
I agree he would. But still i think he is a bullet we managed to dodge. So far. (Bet my antijinx here will pull him back in contention)

If you're a betting man, I think you'd put your money on Luis Enrique at this point.

Odds getting shorter and shorter as the days go on. Reports of him turning down Napoli for the Premier League etc.

He's now 4/1.

Since Poch left we have had to suffer some of the worst football ever seen at the Lane. Please whoever comes in no more low block or 11 players behind the ball rubbish. Our strength has always been to play on the front foot and to entertain, the minimum for a new manager is to get back to this

I think with Chelsea he turned them down as he did with us, it just sounds (and we are all guessing) like he wants a lot of control and according to Fabrizo Romano wanted to know who the DoF was and have influence in his appointing him.

In short some managers like Conte and Jose want money, this guy seems to want the club to build around his philosophy of football and neither Levy nor Boehy would go that far.

A my way or the highway type guy. Levy appointing Naglesmann with Rangnick as DoF and taking full control of the club to build something special is kind of what I wanted but to guys like Levy and Boehy that is basically telling them to get the fuck out of the way

And neither should it.

He wants pretty much exactly what Liverpool gave Klopp and City gave Pep.

He wants to succeed. Spurs fans want to succeed.

We don't trust Levy to do what is needed and give up control to succeed so we are into coping mechanisms that deep down what we need is a charismatic dad figure with Postecoglou.

Whoever we get it will take time. All these players have had playing with the ball drummed out of them. Even with Naglesmann I was always ready for a bumpy season.

Redknapp was an accident.

Pochettino was a success and I don't really blame anyone for how that ended.
Levy admitted in the documentary that he hired Poch because he liked how he dealt with the press and his personality.

He then went on to say that he was "lucky" that he turned out to be a success when he appointed him.

So you could argue that Pochettino was also a happy accident.

I mean, even Kane was, if it wasn't for Sherwood he likely would have been sold.

Problem is, you can't run a football club on luck alone, at some point you need a strategy, something we completely lack.

The Naglesmann Rangnick solution is basically what I would do as an owner if I was a billionaire in Joe’s position.

Accept I know next to them fuck all about football and let them fix the club properly. Guys like Levy or Boehy have egos, even though this solution would be superior they would never accept being told to live in their office and be bean counters. They want to run or at least influence the football. That is a problem.

In the clubs defense only Poch and Slot are off the market now compared to when this started.

Nagelsmann always wanted to wait until the summer.

Still can’t see how they can look at Nagelsmann availability and interest then not get him in.

He’s the perfect Spurs coach for the next 5, 6,7 years
I have a Dutch colleague, supports Feyenoord, who says their fans were 100 per cent sure Slot was coming to us. They were not happy about it.

I don't think we'd have finished any or much lower in the table this season if Rodgers was the manager. Not sure if it would have been the same with Postecoglou.

So I think Rodger's would probably be the better of the two. Saying that i'd be happy to be proved wrong.
