If you wanna get me pumped up and fighting in the 2nd half a game, stick some drum and bass or thrash metal on loudly.

Tell me you’ve never played or coached competitive football without telling me you’ve never coached or played competitive football……
:dawsonlol:

Doubt even Arteta has just made a half time team talk a musical interlude. Have a dance lads. I’m going to stand over here and point at a whiteboard.

Hope we don't have to think about it, but for me the short list looks like

Big Names
- Thomas Tuchel
- Mauricio Pochettino
- Diego Simeone
- Zinedine Zidane
- Joachim Low
- Marcelo Bielsa

Project Managers
- Marcelo Gallardo
- Stefano Pioli
- Marco Silva
- Roberto De Zerbi
- Ange Postecoglou
- Thomas Frank

Poch and Bielsa would kind of fit in the project manager catagory too. Plus Kompany looks like he will be a serious manager.

Only reason I didn't put Bielsa in project is his age, would he want a 5 year project if he's in his 70's when it's done? Poch we've kinda done the project bit, time for him to come back having the experience at PSG and win some shit. FYI my absolute dream is Poch coming back and winning a Champions League for us, what a story arch that would me - we can dream.

Nothing unusual about playing music pre game and post game.

Your claim you would start fighting managers if they gave you or the team a probably deserved bollocking just made me smile.

Just part of being in a dressing room. Without you going all Bruce Lee on everyone all the time.
My point was and is, simply screaming uncontrollably at people isn't good management and it will only work on some players.
Raising your voice with constructive words is good.
Uncontrolled screaming is pathetic. And it's more likely to end up with altercations than positive reactions.
This has happened in football for years and you know it has.

Gallardo
De Zerbi
Pochettino (50:50 on this as not always good for someone to return)
Kompany

Something exciting with room for growth. My gut wants Kompany, Burnley play a great style and I think he would be a gamble that could pay off.

Anyone who plays good football and is willing to commit to 3 years will do.

Gallardo, Poch and Marco Silva are the best options under that criteria to me. I don't think anyone else better than them will commit to 3 years or be willing to leave their current clubs.

Yeah it’s a very testosterone driven environment (for the men) fights on training pitches, managers throwing tea or shoes.

Not sure it will change. A bit like the army. I have no experience of that whatsoever.
But I’m guessing they still shout at people in 2023.

I also think Steve Cooper deserves a mention as a project manager
His teams are set up to attack and he has an unbelievable quality that most top flight managers lack and that is he is always humble and honest

I'd bet a nut they do now, but knowing the way the world is going, it will probably change soon.
The difference for me and them is I wouldn't join the army. The only way I'm ever ended up in in WW3 and getting conscripted. At which point, be nice and I'll do what you say.
Talk to me like shit and I'll go to prison.

Surely we will go for Tuchel if Conte walks, Poch would be a waste of time as would Beilsa.

Tuchel would be a disaster at this club. Another big name without the backing to make it work.
He's not just a big name, he's a big name that wins trophies, there isn''t going to be backing to make it work for any manager, so might as well go for a successful one that has Levy's respect.
