Tonight's result and our recent history with Portuguese managers notwithstanding, it would not surprise me in the least if Levy goes for Marco Silva, should Poch not happen.

Poch, because he loves the club. He's the best fit for us, like Klopp fits Liverpool.

It went bad last time because the recruitment was so dire that he couldn't refresh the team. Mostly not his fault. But with new players, better recruitment, he can build another good side.

Our squad is getting stronger each window, even if results / performances aren't.

Initially I wanted Tuchel and I didnt want Poch to return BUT day by day I'm leaning towards Poch returning.
I'm excited at what he could do with attacking full backs like Porro, Udogie and Spence. I'm intrigued at him potentially being able to unlock the unplayable Bissouma we saw at Brighton and the imposing Richarlison we saw at Everton.

I like Thomas Frank as well.

On that list I could live with

Nagelsmann - love his football, at least at Redbull and Hoffenheim
Gallardo - very interesting, a wild choice
De Zerbi - doing great at Brighton although did walk into a team doing well
Carrick - been on fire at Boro but a big step up
Kompany - Pep lite like Arteta, would be the long long term choice perhaps
Poch - not 100% on going back to an ex but I do love Poch and if he could get that magic back.
Glasner - Frankfurt are an interesting team to watch

The other candidates don’t really excite me and Tuchel I think would fail.

Went for Naglesmann as he is brilliant at developing players but now at Bayern is also used to work at the top. Want an attacking manager who can get some energy back in. I assume it’s going to be Poch though.

No one that's ever received a cheque from Chelsea, please. Tired of failing with their has beens.

He is new into his managerial career and I mean Boro are not even in the automatic promotion places currently anyway.

That ex southampton manager had Luton flying ffs playing an attractive brand of football and look at what a bozo he turned out to be.

Potter legit won the poll to be our newest manager as well....and the hilarious "expected goals" stat was something else.
lol Boro were 23rd when he took over and youre unimpressed because a few months later they aren't in the automatic promotion spots.

I guess he's destined to be the next Nathan Jones. Even though the manager who's currently top of the league is new into his managerial career as well but I guess he doesn't count.

De Zerbi is intriguing, football has looked great there so far. Nagelsmann or Gallardo could be fun.. don't know much of anything about the latter. I'd like to see Poch take another crack at it. Whoever it is will need starters at cb and gk. The Kane situation needs to be resolved. And top-tier potential players brought in for LW and midfield creator. Sporting Director situation is also a bit of a mess if Paratici has to leave.. we need somebody making long term assessment of the players we actually have, and making better decisions on who is kept, moved on etc.
