Didn’t know where to put this but….

Played two good games there and then gets moved to left centre-back where he was really poor because of our lack of squad depth ( to avoid playing Sanchez or Tanganga) and we put a weaker player at left wing back in Perisic , which made the team weaker in two positions.
Couldn't believe conte made that decision it was a really poor decision by the manager.

Surprised there isn’t more of a call for Enrique?
(In the votes.)

Thank god for that.

His Spain team was an eyesore. Defensive football doesn't really work anymore but nor does stale possession football. Even Pep's teams play much faster & mix it up with long balls, now throwing Haaland in to the mix. Enrique's Spain were 500 tippy tappy midfielders with zero penetration, highly predictable and rightfully went out to a determined, physical Moroccan team.

The only genuinely impressive job Enrique has done was with Barcelona. Where he had the best front 3 of all time & their other icons were still great. He's no Pep, doesn't have the charisma & is tactically far less inventive. He wouldn't succeed here, we don't have Messi, Suarez & Neymar all in their prime, and we don't have the technical players he'd need anyway. Posters wanting him are barmy tbh.

before we get a new manager can we get a clear vision as a club?
I feel this is important as the manager needs to fit the vision of the club
We are acutely aware of the need to select someone whose values reflect those of our great club and return to playing football with the style for which we are known," added Levy. "Free-flowing, attacking and entertaining - whilst continuing to embrace our desire to see young players flourish from our academy alongside experienced talent."

Maybe Levy is watching something else :levylol:

For me, the absolute non-negotiable for the next manager is a willingness to work with the players we've got and any players our DoF brings in whether he wants them or not. The "club signing" card will not exist. If the player is in a Tottenham shirt, he's a Tottenham player and the Tottenham manager has a duty to fully assess his suitability for the first team squad. End of discussion.

I will remember these words when winks, GLC, ndombelè will come back in the summer

Not keen on Silva i have to say. Done a great job at Fulham but a very patchy record overall and moves around a hell of a lot, always seems to be a year or two. Cant say i've found Fulham particulaly entertaining either. Would be a very mediocre appointment.

The minute it starts going tits up for this guy people will be calling for Poch or someone like that.

This is the problem with hiring big names such as Jose and Conte, it distorts the fans views, in reality you can't really go from those two to Marco Silva because fan's expectations have now increased.

Bif problem with Silva is that he's a pragmatic manager. Same with Frank.

People get excited by the results of Fulham/Brentford but forget that Conte and Jose both got pelters for playing to get results over the style.

De Zerbi would be a tough sell for some of the bigger name players in the squad, maybe?

really there are 3 candidates: Poch, Enrique, Gallardo.
