Nail on head, couldn't agree more with this.Heard the athletic podcast earlier in the week and I agree with Dan kelly. He said the new manager must want to be here, play attacking football and progress the good youngsters we have coming through.
To me that sounds like Pochettino or at least how Pochettino was when he first came to us.
It doesn’t have to be him though, the Brighton manager, the sporting manager or someone like that. I think most fans could take a backward step if we took a longer term view of building something with younger players a more attacking style and a club strategy that everyone is onboard with.
But I fear the club will go for Enrique or tuchel Paratici and ENIC need their head on spikes outside the stadium if this is the case
avb was 32 or so and won more we cant be always sureNail on head, couldn't agree more with this.
Amorim would be interesting, only 38. there's a ceiling in Portugal. De Zerbi I think if I was him I'd stay put there's something very special there. If he left it would be a real surprise.
I would be very surprised if he didn’t leave if we showed an interest. Would also be surprised if they didn’t immediately appoint his successor, can guarantee they have a robust succession plan for every eventuality. The complete opposite of the BTEC Financial Accountant ex Mr Byrite and the complete spin we find ourselves in, every time. I actually find it disgusting how twice he flippantly wrote off two separate seasons by appointing ill qualified caretakers. He absolutely should have offered a partial refund to ST holders who had to endure that halfwit SherwoodNail on head, couldn't agree more with this.

I think Genisio at Rennes would be a good appointment also
By the way leading away against PSG 0-2 in the 80th minute.
Spence a starter, substituted in minute 78
We definitely need a guy who want to be here.I do agree that it needs to be a manager happy to be here not doing us a favour.
A manager who's obviously good and tactically astute, plays attacking football and wants to build a legacy with us rather than jump to Madrid if they came calling .
Maybe that's too much to ask
At least I want more of a modern leader than a the dictator type that first Mourinho and now Conte represents. We definitely need a guy who want to be here.
As for mentality, I'm torn on if it should be another firebrand like Conte, or a more chill man like Ancelotti.
If our players are more laid back/soft, then maybe a softer coach could do the trick?
He's not coming here. And he would not fit the young manager mold that we are going for. But Carlo Ancelotti would probably work well.A manager who lets players be expressive.
You can see how much Bissouma struggles with Conte's rigidity and safety.
it was the same with Eriksen at Inter.
I'd argue maybe Richarlison too.
He's also got a great thing going tbf.For those that are saying De Zerbi-- he just signed a 4-year contract with a 13m release clause(!)

My personal take is that we should go for either the Feyenoord or Benfica manager.
Honestly don't know enough about either. My personal take is that we should go for either the Feyenoord or Benfica manager.
They are used to competing for trophies/at the top of the table. But also used to players moving on so they have to rebuild. That fits what we need. Guys who know how to compete but also how to rebuild and integrate youth.
Which is understandable since he is well on the way to winning Feyenoord their first Eredivisie title since 2017. As well as a strong run in Europe. He was never leaving mid season.Didn't Leeds approach the Feyenoord manager and he basically said "I'm waiting on a better offer"?
He is pretty boring in general. Same system. Fetish players.
Big no thanks. He's not terrible but we should be aiming a lot higherMaybe we should go for Genesio? He seems to specialize in beating oil clubs.
