These JDP like systems take good recruitment, a lot of time on the training ground, and a club with a vision of building a team to play in that way. You don’t bring in Nagelsmann to “improve” Eric Dier or “get the best” out of Hojbjerg. He would need to be in complete sync with the club and would require 100% backing should difficult decisions arise. I just can’t see Levy backing a manager like that, we historically assemble a team that a manager is expected to get the best of, not assemble a team for a specific style of play.

Well, that’s the singular charge that has been levelled at ENIC for two decades.

If we give Eric Dier a new contract then we’ll have our answer.

I agree and either would be good but after getting my hopes up with Jose and Conte it’s difficult getting too enthused this time but if it’s done soon by next week then this season could be saved!

That's not how I read it, but even if it is, these young players will become more senior players very quickly. If we expect him to be around for a few years, he'll need to do better at man management, which is the one area that I think he is deficient in. Imho, we need a master motivator more than a master tactician right now and JN is mostly the latter.

Wouldn't be upset about his appointment, but it's still Gallardo and Poch in that order for me.

But it’s so difficult to know with Bayern. Their dressing room and board are UTD levels of heirarchy.

He might be a bit of a penis, but touch of salt and all that.
