Slot would be a great get as manager.

He's kept two sides competing at the top of the Eredivisie, developed young players and implimented fun to watch attacking football at both clubs. And is on track to win Feyenoord their first league title since 2017.

People will probably be underwhelmed by the appointment, but I think that he would be a positive surprise for everyone.

I was reading an article last night about him and he sounds good but it also sounds like he needs fast, young, technical players to play his football. So basically the opposite of what we have. Therefore we’ll probably go for him!

Obviously it’s more of the type of football everyone wants to see but he’s not going to have the tools at his disposal to play his football and Levy isn’t going to get them for him after the amount he’s spent for Conte. He’ll be expecting a low summer outlay, I bet.

Well if we are in for any decent manager with a big reputation Levy will need to tell them there is money available to shape the team how they would like. I also do not envisage a big outlay which means the manager will quickly feel let down . I genuinely can’t see any reason to be positive about the football side of our club .

It will be fine, don’t worry. Winks and Ndombele will be back.

There are a few issues in play in relation to who we appoint next.

Key is decisiveness. There will be nothing more damaging in my opinion than approaching managers and being rejected by them.

We need to know the type of manager we want and to be pretty sure they are both available, competent and willing.

Who that is...?

I think that under a different manager and with some prep time, people will be surprised by our players.

Not saying that they will be world beaters to a man. But they are under coached and under performing. And we have a relatively young squad.

I’m not writing them off. I’m just saying the squad will need help. We don’t have enough players comfortable on the ball who can pass and move effectively. But, I’m open to being surprised of course.

2 seasons in the weakest league in the top European leagues is far too small an example.
He could be wonderful. Or he could be the next DeBoer

Sounds good. Let`s go dutch - again.

Now this is just so fucking absurd that I could see it happening, actual Conte didn't work so lets try Diet Conte instead, more old school Italian boredom-ball is exactly what the fanbase is craving...
mancini is an attacking coach and his teams play a very enjoyable football
he has good relationship with the players and the journalists, and he is able to start a technical project (see Inter, Man. City)

I don't think it's in anyone's interest to carry on with Italians at the moment.
We can't have 80% of the home crowd fed up with "Italian football" before he even takes his first game.
I'd add Portuguese to that too. AVB, Mourinho and Nono have all been as dour as you can get.
