That is completely valid and the obvious risk.

I would like to see us give someone like Kompany a chance, but accept that I can’t whinge if it all goes tits up.

If the club is looking for the option of least risk the it’s Poch by a mile.

- knows the club and Levy
- knows some of the players
- can work with youth and plays a brand of football Spurs fans mostly like
- most Spurs fans have affection for him
- brings identity

even Poch brings risks notably don’t go back to your ex so no appointment we could make is risk free.

Everything is a risk

Too soon for kompany imo. He’s doing well at a newly relegated side in the championship, yeah they’re playing some nice stuff but would at least like to see how his side does in the prem first. I’ve seen Norwich sides walk the championship playing great football over the years then come to the premier league and get battered every week…

I think it's the way he's transformed them more than anything. He's got them all singing from the same sheet, signed players that suit his vision and his patterns of play have been excellent.

It's a huge gamble. But id just be happy to enjoy watching Spurs again and see this team to into games actually wanting to win. And we haven't got that under the serial winners we've been employing.

Plus his mentality is excellent. He constantly goes on how Burnley aren't top of the Championship, they're 21st in English football and they need to continuously improve.

Proper leader and something tells me he won't be afraid of pissing a few people off.

He will probably end up City manager, style of play is Pepball but slightly more direct kind of like Arteta. Be surprised if he isn’t considered an elite manager in a few years, got the style and the mentality.

Apparently in Dutch league they have a manager called Arne Slot who is thought of as their next Ten Hag break out manager.

Hope the club is looking at these, we need to look to the future best manager not the best manager of 10 years ago.

Few have mentioned Slot on here.

He's doing an incredible job this season. Top of the Eredivisie, into the Quarter Finals of the Europa League, semi finals of their domestic Cup, hasn't lost a league game since September.

He's definitely of the right profile. I just think anyone is going to feel disappointing in comparison to Nagelsmann (If he wants to actually come)

The last paragraph is kinda on us I guess. Fans are expecting managers of a certain level now after the work by Poch on the field and what Levy has actually done well off of it. Winning trophies is really the last true rubicon to cross for the club under Levy's stewardship. And after Poch, Jose and Nuno I guess that people's standards have shifted a bit in what they expect in a managerial appointment.

Result 31/03/23: Poch scores 36.3% the highest, therefore Poch is our next manager.

Admin, pls lock the voting.

Poch will be announced officially our manager tomorrow April's Fool Day.

I doubt there’s anything in the kompany story at all. It’s gonna be Nagelsmann or Poch isn’t it? Slot the outsider but realistically we aren’t going to find up until June now I suspect although that could change should results really bottom out.

It almost makes too much sense so we probably won’t do it!

He’s got a weird formation 4-1-5 , he said it’s very direct with skillful , fast players . Kane is a mentor playing in the midfield and the only others left are Bentancur, Porro & Romero

It’s basically the future of football

Kompany, I'm really not sure about, BUT....... if he came in with Jan as a no. 2 that would make it ALOT more appetising.

A man who knows and loves the club and is loved by the fans.

I think the fanbase need to start over with the next appointment. Blank slate. Let's see what you can do. Fuck your previous jobs. You're at Spurs now. Have us play good football and we judge you going forward.

It is a slight problem that a reasonable proportion of our fanbase appear to want any new manager to fail, whoever he is, so they can continue their crusade against Levy / ENIC...

Personally I'll be 100% hoping whoever it is 'succeeds' (recognising of course that the definition of 'success' also differs wildly from fan to fan' - for me finishing top 4 more often than not, and winning the odd cup every few years, would be 'success', but I appreciate others wouldn't consider that 'success').
