Surely in a city like London there has to be international schools at secondary level.

It definitely feels like a surrmountable obstacle. This feels more like the Dutch media justifying Slot staying at Feyenoord.

There is, but the kids are probably happy and settled in the school they’re in and Slot might not want to disrupt that for the sake of his job, especially when you don’t know how long he may stay in the job

He was successful and played attractive football. That was what United the fans. Will he still play attractive football? I'm not so sure, people in here that watched his PSG play said he played boring football like the last year here. Cultivating the U21s by not loaning them out and letting them play with and against adults. Ok he had some success in integrating young players. But I guess his train with me instead of loaning you out was more of a failure then a success.

For the record, and for those who couldn't guess, I don't want Pochettino back.
We’re not PSG with its globetrotter lineup. He’ll be working somewhat like he did when he came to us before: with some really decent players and some duffers to move on.

I know the fan base is quite divided on this one, and I have mates who are with you, but I still think he’s the best bet.

Some discussion on TS last night about stagnation of teams who don't refresh regularly.. Hang on to players too long. I guess you need a mix but it's worth looking into the performance of clubs who turnover their players more.

I think it might be too, not that I want him. I think Levy will go for a known quantity rather than a manager from another league.
I think the five main criteria will be
1) Someone who can lower fans expectations without causing an outcry like Nuno did.
2) Someone who who'll agree to promote the official party line rather than call out the owners and the losing culture they have ingrained into the club. Like Conte did
3) Someone who will be prepared to work with the limited budget afforded them by ENIC.
4) Someone out of a job to avoid compensation.
5. Someone prepared to work with this team post Harry Kane.

I don't think Rodgers will be offered a job by any other similar sized club in the near future so yeah, it'll probably be him.

His Liverpool stint ended nearly 10 years ago!!
And won more than Spurs in those 8 years since.

I genuinely don't understand Spurs fans begging for a one season wonder like Slot, Kompany, Carrick, people with absolutely no PL management experience whatsoever (and barely any coaching experience at all) but shitting on the idea of Rodgers. PL runner up with a weak Liverpool. FA Cup winner with Leicester and 2 5th placed finishes. Ropey Conference league semi final.
Plays the sort of football Spurs fans claim to want, 352/451 possession and attack minded. Seems to be able to adapt formations and tactics, isn't afraid of earlier subs and rotation.
You know, all the things we've been missing for years, even with Poch in charge.

It's utterly irrational isn't it?
I wouldn't put him as the surefire no.1 target, but I'd put him ahead of Slot, Carrick, Kompany and definitely Potter. Fuck Potter.
If we're not getting Poch or Nagelsmann, I would go for Rodgers.

It is irrational when you compare him to managers that barely have any experience.

My first choice was Tuchel but for me now I think Rodgers makes the realistic most sense but I don't know who my first choice is

I'm not necessarily in favour of Rodgers. Keeping an open mind maybe, especially when ex pros like Anderton weigh in.
What attributes will the new incumbent need and has Rodgers got them ?
