Based on what people have wrote slot would seem a good appointment. However it really is a no brainier that it has to be either JN or Poch both out of work. I don’t understand what the board are doing. In fact the whole club!

Waiting to see season renewal uptake , then will decide what he needs to do to get us to fall for the bullshit for another season . Maybe it’s just the cynic in me and Levy has a well thought out plan , first time for everything

Bet nobody had ever heard of Arnie Slot until last week.

That’s why I can’t see levy going for him or another unknown. He’s under the most pressure from the fanbase he’s ever been since owning the club and will be well aware of that. I can see that partly entering his reckoning with the appointment. Why pile more pressure on himself appointing someone he probably won’t back anyway, that the majority of the fanbase have never heard of.

And if/when that big name fails he has even more pressure and has to appoint an even bigger one. Eventually he will have to rip off the bandaid and go for a lesser known name and allow a more proper rebuild.

I don't know if it will, or should be Poch, however some people are assuming that it wont be him due to not being in place already.

From my understanding, and reports are mixed, he was in a bitter battle with PSG over a compensation package as they wanted him gone before his contract expired in June 2023. If reports are to be believed, he got €15m, with his staff getting the full remainder of their packages on top.

It's fair to assume as part of this deal, PSG will have a clause in place whereby he forfeits this payment if he signs for another team before June 2023. So no club is going to want to cover this, and no person is going to want to give that wedge up, so everyone just has to bide their time.

I thought the social posts of the crew back together, were a little strange and it might upset Spurs if it was letting the cat out of the bag, however if an agreement is in place, but it can't be announced until June, this is a sly way to keep a big section of the fanbase happy. And nothing stops his crew working, assessing things for the coming season.

I know i'm putting 2+2 together but I think it's highly unlikely it wont be Poch. I believe Fabio will be gone by the end of April with a new chap in and working before the season is out, having been briefed by Poch on what he needs going into pre-season.

This is my fear. It's all very well getting rid of a manager (rightly in my view) but things seem to be drifting. We can't have another situation where we bounce from coach to coach in a matter of days and are then left with dross.

I think he wasn’t talking about Spurs and was not using it in a negative context admittedly

Is it really our plan to wait until the summer and then see who is around?
Wouldn't surprise me. I can't see Levy paying any compensation to another club (Potter was £21m and I assume that de Zerbi has something similar in his contract), so it will inevitably be someone currently out of work, which reduces the list here to eight I think, and that includes Stellini.
