The club is either being really smart or really stupid.

Stupid: want Luis Enrique cos he is a big name even though he needs a brand of players Levy will never buy and will almost certainly see us back here in 18 months.

Smart: knows Boehy is massive FOMO like with Raphinha or Mudryk. Putting out messages that Spurs desperately want Luis Enrique to force Boehy to hijack thus leaving Nagelsmann the real target and manager is who suited to this type of situation available.

Still think Chelsea go Nagelsmann. Boehy likes the shiny things and Nagelsmann is certainly the shiniest option.

Spurs are the perfect fall back option for Luis Enrique.
- No real expectations
- Fat paycheck
- Can probably fuck off in 18 months if he doesn't like it
- Performance here won't do any damage to reputation
- If he does succeed, bigger clubs will start circling again

Poch not being under consideration is good. He shouldn't have to come back and be the face of this mess that allows Levy to push on with his negligence of the sporting side of the club.

Poch would be a purely emotional hire to appease the fanbase. Rather than the hard truth of us needing a full on rebuild.

Poch should come back once we are through the first 3 years of the rebuild and we can realistically think about challenging again. But let someone else ride out the bad years.
Surely whehther poch comes back or not and when our club should have that fraudster decking that? What qualification does patarici have to appoint a good attack minded coach. What we should is draw from people like pleat , Glenn, Perryman, Ledley and so on. People who really have spurs in their hearts and only want the best for the club. Not this Italian fraudster who has no heart for the club as examples by chin wanting guttuso and then appointing Nuno.

If there's anything to the story from last week that he wanted to take over at chavs now, I really, really, really hope this is a story that someone from our camp has planted. To get them to force forward their move for Luis Enrique, and leave us with a clear path to Nagelsmann.
That was my thought. Whoever we get though may well be enviously looking at Chavs and their transfer budget… whilst forced to reaccommodate Winks - as club captain - and have Richarlison as our only striker.

:levywtf:

I want it to be bullshit, but if it were Poch he'd already be on the sideline. No reason for him not to have already been hired.
Exactly what would the hold up be . PSG compo? More likely fraudster patarici thinking he knows better and waiting for someone from seria a. I really hate these duckers who have no appreciation for the fan base. There are two managers out there virtually avavilable and it looks like we have or are not gonna even try to get them! Instead we get con(e) man taking charge with no change in anything, Pat banned on garden leave getting full pay nice job if can get it and just spiralling into mid table mediocrity playing the worst football in our history. A team coached by an expensively assembled tean including cunte to not even be able to pass the ball to each other. I think it’s time to now really put pressure on the board to bin these fuckers and Pat , start new with either poch or JN.

So like me you are also hoping on Wednesday we can draw a line under Juventus on the Thames. The fact is we all know one thing and that is if Paratici continues in his role it will be even more chaos. The man has a possible criminal case and a second ban from football activities due to paying players under the table. I do not understand why he is still here.
Surely Munn would step in even if not officially on pay role? Patarici would report to him. Well no point having someone report to him who cannot do his job in both ways literally!

Now that's in line with ENIC's post-Poch foolishness.

Going for apparent glamour/prestige over something more astute that would actually start to sort our mess out. Fuck me.

(I truly hope it's bollocks)
Apparently now big name/ had success in the past = bad

Not much experience = good

There are glamour/prestige as you put it coaches who would come here and do well. We hired a past it mourinho and Conte who’s football went stale after 6 months that doesn’t mean any big name manager who comes won’t achieve.

We want a return to possession based attacking football, Luis Enrique definitely fits that bill.

I don’t get this at all, whoever we appoint needs more technically capable footballers coming in, as everyone is in agreement we need to go back to trying to play proper football.

I don’t want to see dier Sanchez and lloris trying to play the ball out the back under Luis Enrique the same way I wouldn’t want to see that under a kompany for example.

No matter who’s in charge the squad needs major surgery.

Yes but there are degrees. Kompany is working wonders with Burnley players, Slot is doing a great job at Feyenoord, Naglesmann did a Poch like job at RB.

Luis Enrique’s last two gigs where Spain which was mixed and before that a prime Barca team. To play his system it’s mostly likely we would need serious big bucks investment in a way we might not with other managers.

It’s not saying Luis Enrique is shit, it’s just a concern like Conte we would need to properly back with money we won’t spend. For me he is a hugely risky option because of who we are.

Have been reading throughout season being linked with ferran Torres at Barcelona for 47m. Speculation of course but think we will act once chelsea appoint their next mug.

I was thinking who would be the least suitable appointment for our current predicament from the likely candidates and it was Luis Enrique. Unsuited squad, just dont think he'd be fully committed certainly not for a 3 or 4 year rebuild, only ever done it at Barca. I dont think he'd last much more than a season. Its a rumour at this stage but given the idiots in charge i wouldnt be the least bit surprised.

It’s relative though, kompany is working with Burnley players against championship opposition and they brought in something like 16 players last summer, completely revamped the squad. He’s not got players like Ben mee and Tarkowski playing tiki taka. What Enrique did with his one season at Celta Vigo is similar to Poch at Southampton, taking a side narrowly escaping relegation and taking them to the top half of the division.

Just think no matter who we bring in we need an overhaul of this squad. I don’t see Luis Enrique and Conte similarities at all bar the fact that they’re “big names”

Thing about Luis Enrique is that he's flexible formation wise. Can play possession and press with wing backs or full backs.

Also doesn't need a traditional #9 for his system. Which is pretty likely with Kane wanting to go this summer.

He's probably not going to need as much transfer work as Poch would.
