Not sure about Ange's career history, but winning Eredivisie with Feynoord is far more impressive than winning SPL with Celtic. Anyone can win the SPL with Celtic.

It is. Although Ajax dropping off massively lately has helped Arne a lot. They lost all their stars & the coach.

Gerrard at Rangers looked a good coach. Ended Celtic’s dominance, attacking football, even did well in Europe.

The environment of the Premier League is very different.

Slot wanted to go to Leeds, he'll jump at the chance to come here.

Don't like the sound of others like Enrique and Amorim still being interviewed though, lets just hope those are old news as they feel like it. Although with us, you just never know, we always seem to be able to find new ways to cock things up!

SPL is a one team league and the Eredivisie is a two team league and Slot won with a team outside the two. PSV and Ajax have won a combined total of 20 of the last 23 leagues.
Ajax and PSV do dominate the league, but feyenord did win it a few years back, not during the bronze age when we last did it.
SPL has always been a two team league, nothing changes there, both teams have won over a hundred trophies each.

If it’s Slot I just hope he comes here and is strong enough to stick to his philosophy and style of play. I could stomach a season of below average results if there’s a clear vision and he’s building towards playing an entertaining style of football.

He’s a younger guy, and still learning, if it’s him, the fanbase really needs to commit to giving him time to grow here (same could be said of ownership).

Let’s back him and see where he takes us.

Isn't Amorim not a good choice?
Amorim and Enrique could both be good choices. Amorim probably the best fit for our squad as it is, safer pick than Slot probably, but not sure if he speaks English and I think he'd tend toward more pragmatic style. Enrique would be good if he's eager for the job, and if we commit to signing good players at gk, cb, cm, am.. not Rodon/Doherty level players like we did with Jose.

I like the way he plays football and he comes across as very likable in the interviews I've seen of him.

This is backed up by football nerds who say that he's a good manager. I'm not a tactics guy, but they're backing up what I see when I watch his team play.

It's such a simplistic view to tarnish someone with a "it's a weak league", "anyone can win that league" brush.

Watch the games. Watch the football. Theres a difference between watching a Neil Lennon Celtic win the SPL and say a Postecoglu team. Emery PSG and a Gaultier PSG. A Pellegrini City team and a Guardiola City team...

Celtic are a very well coached team. Look to play it wide, open up space in the middle before then exploiting that. But there's variety to it.

I think there's alot more variety to Anges coaching to Slots. But I like Slot, think what he's done with Feyenoord is better than what Ange has done at Celtic and he's faired alot better in Europe too.
