some of y’all are some miserable fucks. Give the guy a chance.
I'll definitely give him a chance and wish him all the best. He'll need all the support he can get to make a success of a Levy appointment.

So ....GOOD LUCK ANGE POSTECOGOLU!!!!!

The irony is though, all those folks urging everyone on the Ange train and yelling at us to get behind the guy and slamming those who have reservations......

You'll be the first cunts to turn on him and and put the boot in if / when things start to go wrong...

:harrylol:

It happens every single time.

Length of contract will be interesting. Anything less than a 3 year deal won't give Ange much power and he will be undermined from the beginning. If this really is a new start let's be serious about it and really back him

Levy might not appoint one. There is nothing consistent in how he runs the football club, we've had significant periods without a DoF. He might even wait for Paratici to serve his ban and then reappoint him. Who knows!!
Yep you're right, he continues to consult Paratici and doesn't feel any shame about it.

Regardless of contract length he has no power anyway, Levy is going to make him his bitch.

The irony is that they did the same thing with Nuno when it was obvious it was a mediocre appointment at best. Postecoglou is not far from that label, but hey, at least we’ll play gOoD fOoTbAlL
Yeah. I think of all the permanent managerial appointments of the ENIC era, he was the only one I couldn't get behind.

All the other managers I've supported right up until the day they were sacked.

I think after so many hirings and firings I've reached the conclusion that it's actually not the 16 or so managers that are the problem :roflmao:

So what do you honestly think about this Australian guy then? Do you think if he’s given time and resources he’ll be a success? Cause I’m honestly feeling absolutely no excitement about this appointment and I find it hard to get behind him.

Was Ramos a problem?

If Levy sells Kane to RealMad, then he'll need to hire the new Franco Baldini to splash the cash pragmatically by identifying top talent like Vlad Chiriches & Etienne Capoue.

Still, Eriksen was a good player for us. One of the "Magnificent Seven" being a winner isn't, um, that bad surely....

And let's not forget that ace talent spotter Baldini also wanted to flog Harry Kane to Leicester and keep on playing "Bobby the Soldier" Soldado....

You should be getting behind whoever we appoint. All actual spurs fans should.

Absolutely understand reservations, but reservations can be applied to pretty much everyone on our ‘list’ of potential managers.

He may work out. He may not. Same applies to anyone we get in.

We all know who the real problem is at spurs anyway, so I don’t see much changing.

And yes I do hope we can, as a minimum, play exciting football.

No, I don't think he'll be a success. Success for Tottenham Hotspur should be challenging for and winning major titles.

We have the wealth. We have the resources. And we have the fanbase.

Unfortunately, we don't have the owners. That's the missing ingredient.
For them, winning is too hard. They're only interested in money, profit and third party stadium revenue.

No manager can succeed.

So, although I'd love to see him succeed, I personally think he's a cheap option but I'll support him when things turn sour and, I think, or at least hope, the majority of the fan base will too

I think we've reached a tipping point now. The fans anger will immediately turn on Levy. And rightly so.

I think Nuno was only ever an interim appointment until conte was ready to take over

After 15 years of winning fuck all and having just forked out a grand “gOoD fOoTbAiL” is what I want to watch next season -

I'll give him a chance but I reserve the right to be both underwhelmed and disappointed by his appointment.

Nagelsmann or Poch were available, Enrique as well, but we roll the dice on the Celtic manager instead.

IF this one goes tits up, surely it must be the end of Levy at least?
You would think that, but if it goes wrong I don't think it will affect Levy's position in the least.

It’s been too much of a fucking mess in the last 2-3 years to have the energy to get behind another manager who doesn’t trigger any shred of excitement. I thought after all this mess, ENIC would finally realize how awful their methods have been and make a change for the good of their business, if not for the football club. I understand all managers present a degree of risk, but some are more of a risk than others. I hope I’ll be here in 12, 24 months and admit I was dead wrong, but just like before we appointed Nuno, I can’t see it happening. And just like when Nuno was appointed and I spoke up my mind, I’ll do so now, whether that makes me less of a Spurs fan or not. It is what it is.
