I thought their game management after 1-0, especially in the second half, was beautiful.

They sat back, put bodies behind the ball, stayed compact, and barely allowed anything even resembling a chance. In fact they were the ones looking more likely to score. Turns out there's no reward for continuing to go gung ho for 90 minutes. Other than claiming a moral victory that is.

Obviously our manager is too cool to resort to all these stuff when we have a lead, but it's good to see common sense still prevailing among other managers.

It's obviously disappointing the defeat, tight game, it was never going to be the kind of game where there would be too many chances. I still thought we had a fair chunk of it where we could have got something out of the game, but it was always going to be a tight game here.

It was a disappointing goal we conceded, but aside from that the boys worked hard and we tried to generate as many opportunities as we could considering the context of the game and how Forest play, but we just couldn't get over the top of them.

It must be frustrating though when you have control of the game but can't make the most of it?

Yeah, but look we're asking a lot of this group of players, a lot of these guys are playing every three days. It's only logical they are not going to be at their sharpest but they are trying and that's all I can ask if them.

It's rare your team doesn't score, why do you think that happened?

It’s a bit of, like I said, game state. I kind of knew that if they can get a goal up, it was going to get even tighter for us to find space behind them. It was never going to be a game with a lot of opportunities.

Having said that, I still thought we created some good ones and we just weren’t able to capitalise on them. The keeper has pulled off a couple of good saves to keep them in the game.

We just needed a goal to break them open and we didn’t seem to get it.

How is Radu Dragusin?

He was a bit sore. He hurt his ankle and said he couldn’t continue so we'll just have to wait and see.

you are absolutely right. The injuries are terrible. And they do to an extent allow for breathing space. But then it’s also fair to say that in a 50+ game season the squad has to be up to quality / standard. And it’s just not. Outside of half them the drop off in quality is stunning. And to dig deeper, you have only 3 CB. One CF. 3 keepers who are at best questionable and two of which have never kicked a ball in top flight football. And then you have players like Regulion, who is either wanted or not wanted, not good enough or good enough to play. It’s a total mess mate. I don’t know who is to blame really, but it’s true Ange agreed to all of these compromises.

This fluffer also said he didn’t want more CBs or a bigger squad. Now bemoans injuries and having to play games every 3 days. This wasn’t a surprise - the fixtures came out in June and we knew we might play 69 games. Everyone involved in transfer policy is complicit in this shit show.

Ange is at fault because of the demands on the players are at least partially to blame for the injuries.
