There isn't a Spurs DNA.

It's got nothing to do with microbiology.

Just play better football and win more matches, no need for using buzzword terms that businessmen use at corporate motivation events.
There is a way of playing that generally we want to see and appreciate. Were no one nil wins every game a la Woolwich but we have talented players who have great skill.
Before you throw names of shit players or dates of shit eras at me, I am generalising and concede that there have been eras/players that would contradict my statement but overall, we as a club and we as supporters live for our motto and like to see our teams play that way....that's why Jose was so hated and why the super League fiasco was (felt like) so fucking embarrassing on a club and personal level.

You can split wolves fans into 3 groups.

Cultists:
Only really appeared on the scene when a bunch of swarthy Portuguese turned up. Believe Nuno is infallible, and beyond criticism. Mitigating circumstances excuse everything, we lost 3-2 to west Brom because Nuno is depressed and missing his family. He quit wolves to move closer to home (well, Tottenham is a few miles closer I guess?).
If you criticise Nuno, you're not a fan and the club doesn't need you.

General fans:
Want to maintain the status quo, have been burned by manager replacements of old and are hesitant to change. These were mainly against sacking Lambert at the start of Nuno's tenure.
Most fans are happy to just be in the premier league, they don't want to compete they're just happy to be higher in the football pyramid than west Brom.

Realists:
Appreciate the role Nuno played in turning us around and making us competitive again.
Realise that the lack of coherent playstyle, disappearing goal threat, leaky defence, and finishing 17th in the form table for the last 3rd of the season are probably signals that it's time to change.

With Chelsea/Woolwich/United being in somewhat of a downturn there was a real power vacuum the past 2 seasons and that presented an opportunity for a smaller club, Leicester, Everton, Wolves, to push on and try cement themselves as a big six club and grow from there, the last 2 seasons have been a bit underwhelming in that aspect, and the poor league finishes will see the more ambitious players within our squad with international aspirations will move on. The back end of Nuno's tenure remains a missed opportunity.
Cultists? Oh fuck ... we're not gonna get flooded by Santonistas or some shit are we? Like those Jose fanboys?
Hopefully, the new rules will make them think twice!

To all the naysayers:
1. Gotta support your manager and give them time.
2. Remember that poch was in a similar position to Nuno and we didn't know how it was gonna turn out and he was the best manager we have had for a while

What happened to your last post to RomanzoCriminale RomanzoCriminale where you called him a troll?

Why did you delete it?

Losing your bottle JohnH like you did at Panzers?

Most wolves fans and cultists believe Matt Doherty is a good defender and would welcome him back with open arms. That should tell you all you need to know about their ability to think critically and football knowledge.

It really disgusts me.

That's interesting. You can split our fans into the same 3 groups.

Cultists. People like RomanzoCriminale RomanzoCriminale with a perverse adulation for Levy and ENIC.

General fans. People like Bazali Bazali who generally just like to discuss on the pitch matters and all things football.

Realists. People like me

Hi K. Welcome to the forum as I assume your newish?

With regards to the cultists, it was awful here when the mourinho fans haunted us for months and months with their blind loyalty and bull so hopefully we won't get any Nuno followers. It's such an alien concept to me as I don't follow poch from forum to forum....just place to place 🤣

Good post. My Wolves mates are very much in category 3 although they are fully aware of the struggles the club have had over the years and do appreciate what Nuno did. My concern about this appointment is how much of a decline there was last season in Nuno's performance and lack of solutions. His decision to place his faith on Jimenez without signing a back up in case he got injured was an obvious error and it is also worrying that he doesn't seem to be in favour of promoting the youngsters, something Levy has stated is one of the reasons he appointed Nuno. Nuno is not going to have much money to spend at Spurs and his tendency to 'go Portuguese' is another concern for me. It's clear that Nuno was considered 6 weeks ago but passed over as he didn't fit the needs of the club. Levy's statement on the appointment sounds like he was always the first choice which is a damn right lie. No one else wanted the job and many ruled themselves out before they were approached. Levy's heavy hand, skinflint nature and lack of football nouse is to blame.

He may have stabilized the club financially, but he has killed the character and the football ethos of this club.

He is now our manager and that's it.

Hope he starts well just to quieten
the doubters but much of that is going to be down to acquisitions and sales.

I think for now the Euros serve as a good distraction and also will give Santo time to get his feet planted.

At least he does not have big shoes to fill or any sense of heightened expectation.
