There is absolutely no way Mourinho would get sacked if Levy knew it took 3 months and 15 rejections to get a new manager. A new manager that is an even shittier version of Mourinho.

Can't do anything but to laugh in despair

Jose is not a bad manager. He would have done well here if we had better defenders. Hopefully Levy realizes this or else he is setting Nuno up for the same failure.

Jose has attitude issues and is a hard personality for some to get a long with but there is no denying the man knows how to coach and win games. The fact we are the only club he has ever been to and NOT won a trophy says more about us than him. Levy failed him by making him manager some shit defenders and forcing him to play a very defensive style.

You can imagine how Kane's euphoria was brought back to earth with a bump with yesterday's announcement! I bet the other players are taking the piss out of him while Conor Coast sits quietly in the corner saying nothing!

Speak to some Wolves fans and you might change your mind.
He just got stale at wolves, and now he's come to the most stale club of all.

I wish him all the best, and I hope he does well, but just seeing the words "head coach" in any Tottenham announcement just means that he won't get the support he needs.

I give it six months before we start hearing things from the backroom saying somewhere within the Levy - Nuno - Paratici one is not happy with the other.

Do not get all this Levy talk in this thread. This is not a Levy appointment or else it would have happened weeks ago. Levy has been persuaded to accept him which is not the same thing at all. I also do not get that Poch will be back in 2 years time. Managers rarely become available at the end of a contract as they can get sacked at any time or move on to other clubs. Poch should not return but the short contract is an indication that Levy is not convinced and that it will be easier to sack him if things do not go well.
Whatever backing Nuno gets and that remains to be seen, he can still be judged on results. In his first season, Mourinho did not do well but was given the benefit of the doubt because of the massive injury list including Son &Kane. If Kane goes and we do not buy any good players then no one should expect Nuno to get top 4 but if he get 2points from 8 games then he goes.
This is very much a Levy appointment. The reason it has taken so long is that every other option has either turned us down or priced themselves out of the job. If you think someone else has persuaded Levy, then I believe you are deluded. No one tells Levy what to do, otherwise ENIC would have got rid of him years ago. A two year contract for a manager who is supposed to be the perfect person to take us forward and could have been appointed 5 weeks ago. A manager to bring back Tottenham's DNA for attacking football and youth promotion when the evidence at Wolves was the opposite on both accounts. Nuno allowed Jota to go to Liverpool because he didn't want to risk playing him and didn't see him as a striker because he wanted to play Jimenez up front on his own!

Expect a bunch of geriatric Portuguese internationls to be signed over the next few weeks. Believe me, the club are in for a battle to stay up next season.

It’s not the title of head coach (remember, that’s what both Poch and Jose were hired as) as much as the two-year term with the potential availability of Poch and existing availability of Conte (don’t count out Levy getting desperate enough to look in his direction again) looming on the horizon.

Nuno is a babysitter and the whole squad knows it. He deserves better than that, but it would take some serious early success to change that narrative.

Mourinho was a shadow of his former self. Without his back room staff that had been with him throughout his career he wasn't able to coach the team in what really counts - football. The tactics didn't suit our squad and we became reliant on Son/Kane pulling our world class performances every game. All could have ended very differently if Lo Celso was fit and Ndombele could be arsed.
