Johnson and Son may as well not be on the pitch.
I can maybe understand paying what we did for Johnson due to the potential but Richarlison had only scored 13 goals max a season in 5 years in the Prem. Not exactly worth the fee we paid. Poor recruitment, especially when we’ve done so well in that department recently with the likes of Vicario, Porro, Udogie, Maddison, VDV, Romero, Kulusevski, Sarr etc.
We had a few decent chances to score. Son fked them up.

This instability caused by no CBs is a bit of a bug in our software.

- The front 3 are toothless. Son cannot play as a winger anymore; for whatever reason, he’s completely lost the ability or desire to run at the defender with the ball. Johnson was anonymous again and Richy threw himself about but has shown again that he’s only effective in and right around the area.
- Midfield is completely disjointed, no fluidity at all. Have to cut Bentancur some slack, as he’s clearly rusty, but GLC has been really, really poor in possession. I know Skippy’s just entered but he looks like nothing more than a body.
Aside from Sarr’s fine stride and strike, the only bright spot has been Udogie. What will Ange say to the boys at halftime to try and change things?

Why blame one player when the whole team switched off
Hate to say this but we need to cash in on Son at the end of the season. He’ll be 32 by then & we’ll probably still get a decent amount for him. With such a young team, he’s not going to be part of the future & we can’t keep making the mistakes of the past & hold onto players for far too long until they are are basically worthless. He’s going to need to be replaced anyway in the next year or two so we need to maximise what we can get for him & put it towards his replacement

I’m sorry but we’ve seen enough games recently where we can all see what is happening g and his done nothing about it. Just fivking stands there on the touchline. He should be giving them a rollicking and gesturing to them to buck their ideas up. This like watching bbc repeats rinse and repeat. I just don’t get what intelligence any of the players or coaching staff show when this happens. How can you be bright for 10/15 minutes then suddenly play like a pub team. Where is the mentality and fight to say we need to get our shit together by tackling, running , showing compuser, etc. to me it seems like a lot of the players are passing the buck expecting someone else to get them out of trouble. Porro has been shite! Only destiny of the defence has shown anything.
We' rather spend 110 million on richy and Johnson than 100 million on a lautaro martinez or osimhen
