It's the state of what football in general has become.
It's not a working man's sport anymore it's all about money.
This is why I laugh at fans absolute obsession of signing players and/or paying big wages.
If a club signs a player for 100m and pay him £300k a week other fans moan and say we should do that.
Until there is a price cap on signings and a wage cap these ticket prices will continue to rise.
My ST (also block 252) is a little gift to myself each year and as already mentioned an average of £57 a game is not bad, in my opinion.
I still wake up on matchday like a kid at Christmas and usually enjoy the day ahead.
For me it's not just about the football it's about the match day experience.
Meeting up with mates, having a few beers and something to eat is still my favourite day out.
If that stopped being the case then I would probably reconsider, but whilst I still enjoy it I will carry on supporting the club.

Fortunately we have the choice of paying the price or not, and as Nutter-Naylor Nutter-Naylor has mentioned, he chose to scale down his attendance, which is a sensible approach if the pricing bothers you.

The good old days are long gone and this modern day money infested football is here to stay.

It doesn't help that i also have to pay for trains etc. Its a £150 day out. Plus attending a game is a 9 hour day for me. Sunday games are horrendous and the trains are terrible.

I have got to the point where I'm thinking there are better things to spend £3k (net of tax) on.

I will still go now and then though. Tottenham till I die.

Imho all the members fee is another fucking scam.
Your just paying for the right to join queue to buy match tickets.
Ahhh..you get a free badge manufactured for about 5p as a welcome gift.
Then you get the great pleasure of sitting next to a load of tourists.

Of course it is a scam, don't think you'll hear any arguments. Don't even do half memberships after New year anymore, 75 quid for the chance to buy tickets for me and the boy in March last year.

Isn't there around 120k members. All paying £50. £6mn to the club.

There are something like 6k tickets available for members. So you have a 1 in 20 chance of getting a ticket. If you want 2 together the odds are ridiculous.

If you gift your ST to a member they need to be part of your network.

What RicharliSon RicharliSon has done is log into the Spurs App as if he's his friend and used his ticket that way.
I've only ever sent mine to someone who has a CRN. If you log into your account each is each match ticket in your account? I thought it was only sent to a nominated device?

Although I've had a ST for years I've never really looked into the finer details.

Your ST that you have on your device is set to that device only (I think), where as the app also has your tickets too.

Edit: You could screenshot your STs QR code and pass that over too. As long as you don't get an eager steward.

Fortunately you've known me years and you know briefs are not hard to come by given connections.
I always thought I'd miss going to the games week in week out after having a s.t for 25 years more or less ....... but I didn't..
Many games I've had briefs for over the last two seasons have been wasted as I end up staying in the pub or leaving after 15 mins and going back to the pub.

I'm like that now. There was one game last season I went to the bar with my BIL at half time and we never went back for the second half. First time I've done that in 52 year of attendance.

I have mentioned before about other STs I have known like you that gave them up after 15-25 seasons. They only missed it the first season afterwards.

I've tried that before but it sends a blank screen only.
Put your phone into 'bluetooth' and then you can apparently take screenshots of your wallet. A couple of mates have done it before.
I thought the idea of this system was so you couldn't share tix etc.
No system is infallible. Sadly it's why the away ticket points hoarders can still get tickets and pass them on with a screenshot (when they're done digitally).

With my Android devices I need to turn off the NFC in the digital wallet on the device to be able to screenshot the QR codes.

This is the setting that let's you tap contactless for things and for some security reasons you cannot screenshot whilst it's enabled.

Cheers.

I find it staggering that you can share a ticket by a simple screenshot.
What if you share it and then the recipient shares it and he the shares it, until 10 people or more have the same ticket.
One of these people might not know you from Adam and could access a NLD or another big game whilst you were denied entry.

That's madness.

Yeah once it's simply an image in circulation, the first to turn up and get scanned would gain entry I expect.

Then I wonder what happens if you get in the ground an hour before kick off, need to pop out of the gates for whatever reason then try to get back in? I guess you can't?

I get that it's long shot thinking but for someone living in Spain, what's the best tactic to be in a decent position to get tickets if we get to the EL Final in Bilbao?

I usually use mates STs when I'm in the UK if I am going to a game so haven't had a membership for a couple seasons. If I get one this year but only get to 1 or 2 games, would that even help me get close enough to the top of the list for EL tickets?
The final? The stadium holds 50K, so there will probably be max. 10-15K per team and those will go to the top 10-15K (of over 40K) season ticket points holders. They will all have held STs for more than five years.

Forget it unless you're prepared to go to a tout (and I include all ticket resellers in the tout category).
