Once United led by Ten Haag were interested we were probably never in the discussion but I have a feeling Conte would've dismissed him due to height anyway. He'd have been a perfect LCB.
With the incoming backing, Ten Hag and United equals title bid no question at all.

Watching them week to week has me longing for Ten Hag more than it does Martinez tbh.. to think we probably could have brought him in last year. He wouldn't have got a 70m, serial winner defensive midfielder, but would have been the perfect coach for us had we catered our transfer approach around him with reasonable spend.

Rouault impressive again tonight. Really like this guy, kinda going under the radar.
He pushed forward tonight more than he usually does. I like the kid but I'm not sure the physicality of the PL would suit him, certainly not yet anyway.
I like the look of the Chilean LB Toulouse brought in in January Suazo. Saw him for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Technically good, decent engine, played a lovely through ball for Toulouse's 2nd goal.

It's pathetic that these clear improvements take so long to filter through....... Same as the time-keeping protocols they employed.... A couple of seasons of that and the players will soon start to learn that time-wasting is pointless and we've largely eradicated an ill from the game.
Ditto the holding in the box, blocking FKs and so many other rules that if actually upheld would serve as a deterrent in the longer term.
Oh for an Italian or Spanish manager there
