What exactly is this "super cup" being mentioned? I haven't any info at all...
City were averaging 30k attendances when they were in the third tier, and were getting around 40k in the years before the takeover. The difference between PSG and City is that there was a big, active and passionate fanbase at PSG long before the Qataris took over. They got swallowed up by the glory hunters during the superstars era but were still there at the core and now that the superstars and their tagalongs have moved on they are back at the forefront along with fans who became fans of the actual club.
Not saying that City doesn't have a historical fanbase but it just seems way more hollow than PSG's.
Liverpool got lucky that they weren't murdered in the first leg.
I didn't watch tonight; but were PSG that good or was it a bit of both and that IM also choked.....?
City should be playing in division 3 by all rights. When the fuck will the FA come up with their ruling on the systemic cheating?
You forgot usReal - Alonso (probably the best manager)
PSG - will still be great
Liverpool - will have Wirtz, striker, Fringpong, Kerkez, DM, CB
Bayern - will have CB’s that can defend
Barca - will continue to improve
Man City - will have rebuilt
Yeh it’s going to be brutal
And psg were invented in 1980City were averaging 30k attendances when they were in the third tier, and were getting around 40k in the years before the takeover.
I970.
Erm no - they'd have lost in the final and we'd be playing Inter. If Woolwich had somehow beat PSG we’d be facing them in the Super Cup
Anyway else find it interesting that NOBODY is pointing out that PSG finished 15th in the Champions league group stage?
When I'm still hearing a ton of rival fans claiming that because we finished 17th in the league our Europa doesn't count or is somehow diminished.
Of course I'm not claiming we are all better than PSG or anything I'm just curious why certain narratives apply but only to Spurs.
I also don't believe the hype surrounding this PSG team, I think they can be got at and it was a weak competition. Inter were absolutely awful
Nothing to see here. Move along please.City should be playing in division 3 by all rights. When the fuck will the FA come up with their ruling on the systemic cheating?
