I would be more surprised if the PL were doing better, and that's set against what I honestly think is a poorer standard of football across Europe at present.

Damn- wish I had watched that Villa-PSG game- great goals and fightback. After watching their highlights the last few weeks it's sad to say but I think their squad has squarely overtaken ours.
We'll be in legit danger of being overtaken by Newcastle and Forest too should they simply keep spending more on wages than us.
As it stands right now I think a 7th or 8th place finish next season would be decent for our side.

Nah PSG can improve in defense, and probably at CDM too. I would consider them to have a somewhat physically small 'spine'. Vitinha is so f-ing good though, as long as they have him they are a danger to anyone. Guy is one of the best and most exciting CAMs I've ever seen.
