Whatever you think of them this is disgusting, they have enough money I hope if he means this they make him rot for the duration of the contract

Yeah I fucking hate this behaviour.

By all means have ambition of playing for a bigger club to chase trophies but honour your fucking contract which makes you a multi millionaire you prick. Fucking sulking like a toddler, mugging off the fans who pay to watch you. Fuck all that. If Liverpool really want you they'll cough up.

I'm Swedish, I must admit seeing Sweden's two strikers is making me sick. First Göykeres to ArsenaI, makes me automatically not liking him. And now Isak behaving like a fucking greedy fool, not honoring his contract. This together doesn't make me want the national team to succeed in the World cup qualifying and next summer's world cup. I was looking forward to the buzz of a world cup. Now not so much.

All very different in this situation
Not all of those in the article were to force transfers, but to say they’re all very different is just not true. This has happened before loads of times and will likely happen again. Shit, Wissa is basically doing the same thing Isak’s doing as we speak to try to be his replacement.

This is where clubs should be able to sue their player for breach of contract and the Premier league should support it.

I know it happens a lot but it doesn’t make it right. Imagine any of us going in to work and downing tools saying we want to go and work for a competitor.

Not sure whether he realizes that he is messing with people who are not thinking in terms of millions, but hundreds of billions. With a massive ego as well, that's a dangerous game to play.

They are not gonna let an okay footballer from Sweden or Eddie Howe tell them what to do.

All done the same for a club who've just won a trophy just gained champions leave with a club that has unlimited money & 3 weeks before the window closes have said they will not play for the club even if they stay their?

Nice to find a fresh gooner maggot troll

He can't simply "refuse to play for Newcastle ever again". There has to be some serious repercussions for such outrageous behaviour.

But he can -and probably will- go out there and start half arsing it so bad. In that case, the choice for Newcastle would be between:

1) Letting him rot for 3 years out of spite, for the mighty price of his 3 year salary+ the transfer fee that they would be depriving themselves of by refusing to sell.

2) Cave in and sell.

Neither party can afford 3 years of this, but Newcastle would probably blink first considering the enormous costs outlined above.

If I were a chairman I'd be getting no pay clauses inserted into contracts for these situations.

If the club doctor rules you fit but you refuse to make yourself available for selection then forfeit your pay. Sit there making no money at all for three years then you ungrateful little shit.

Like I said, I really doubt he can simply avoid stepping on the pitch for the next 3 years without any repercussions. There has to be some kind of legal action that Newcastle can take in such a scenario.

That being said, nothing prevents him from half arsing it whenever his number is called, so much so that Howe would rather not play him at all. Then what?

It's a game of chicken essentially, with both parties having so much on the line:

Isak: 3 years of his prime + his reputation as a reliable player and a teammate.
Newcastle: Dozens of millions of pounds that they would otherwise be obtaining by selling him. Not to mention all the drama that such a situation would create around the team, milked by media to the fullest.

It's obviously debatable, but I think Newcastle have more to lose than Isak.

Way I look at it with Isak, it’s like Kane when he tried to force his way.

Isak isn’t as good as Kane but still a top player. We had Kane 27 years old, 3 years left who was the top scorer and assister in the Premier League. Levy wanted £160m and City went around with lowballs.

Isak I think you could justify £120-140m. Newcastle just need to set a price and tell Liverpool and Isak pay it or shut up, put the ball in their court and set a deadline of one week to meet the target.
